Pre-heresy Iron Hands: Predator Progress

Hello everyone!

I'm back with an update for my Iron Hands legion. Progress has been slow recently with the weekender being the focus of all our attentions, however, we've all since comitted to getting some  real progress done. So over the last few days I've been painting the third predator in my squadron!

I feel like I've been working on this squadron for an age so it will be good to see them completed. I've added the Leadbelcher first and then washed the relevant areas with nuln oil.

Hopefully by the weekend I will have drybrushed the tank with Standard Mechanicus Grey and then Dawnstone before using the Runefang Steel as the highlight and battle damage.

I also wanted to share with you from an Iron Hands point of view the new developments that have come with the release of retribution. To begin with Iron Father Autek Mor has made a reappearance within this book as a part of the Red Talon. Alan Bligh told us in the seminar how he is another ranking officer of the Iron Hands who is taking the fight to Horus after Isstvan. However his campaign against the traitors uses weapons of mass destruction! So this is definitely going to be an interesting storyline for the Iron Hands as we see a ruthless force of loyalists taking the fight to Horus. It will also be interesting to see if the Red Talon can even be classed as loyalists as they start to employ ever more dubious methods to strike back at Horus.

Also to come from retribution are the rules for Shadrak Meduson! I have seen the rules and they look great but I think I am going to do a separate post taking a more in depth look at him and the shattered legions new rite of war. With him being the poster boy of the shattered legions you would have to expect forgeworld to produce a model for him. I think there is a hole in the Iron Hands Legion with there being no Primarch or first captain model to use after Isstvan, so I am very excited to see the rules for him being released. It would have been great to see a work in progress shot of him at the weekender but there unfortunately wasn't one :(.

God Machines of the Titanicus Seminar - and Secutarii

Hallo everyone :)

Day two of the Horus Heresy Weekender 2016 has started - and so has the first seminar today - God Machines of the Titanicus. It's all about the Warlord Titan, from designing to rules and painting! The post will be updated through the seminar, so keep checking back :)

Were from Adeptus Titanicus era. Titan Guard pretty much. Designed to work with the Titan Legions. Name is deviation of shield bearers. Grenade launcher systems and can lay down chaff etc.

The Chaos Warlord is not being worked on yet. Expect 2 years.

Secutarii are in 40k and 30k!

They are not reviving epic! They are doing it as a new scale!

The new Robots will be not just bodyguard for Perturabo, but can be used to "watch" junior commanders. Elite choice! They are based on the Domitar.

Might not get weapon variants for Iron Circle. Circa £30 per model.
