The first time I saw the sneak peak in the FW Bulletin I was not too impressed. Context is a fine thing, the model looks very strong and I think it will be a popular addition to the Gaming table.
The Deredo Dreadnought was created by Games Workshop a long long time ago. It is always nice to see old models become re-imagined. Well Done Forge World.
Hopefully we will see it at the Horus Heresy Weekender which once again we will be aiming to claim the front seats of every major seminar again, so we can release our Seminar reports on the fly to the online community. Stay tuned.

Should I get a Mortis or wait for this?
ReplyDeleteDepends what you'd arm it with. Also, contemptor mortis is elites. I daresay this monster will be heavy support. So like why not both?
DeleteI would say wait for the Deredeo, but if you can, buy both as Byron says.
DeleteLike I said though, totally dependant on how you'd arm it. Obviously you wouldn't get one of these and then a contemptor mortis with dual autocannons.
DeleteWhen is the seminar? :)
ReplyDeleteThey are on every hour at the Horus Heresy Weekender in February.
DeleteDang, that looks pretty bad ass,
ReplyDeleteIts like a contemptor mortis on steroids
I like it already
That looks an absolute beast! Does anyone else think that's a Hyperios missile launcher?
ReplyDeleteIt does appear to be. I thought the same when I first laid eyes on it. I wonder if the Autocannons are Hydra like or Sicaran Accelerator ones. . .
DeleteAccelerator Autocannons would be very welcome although I imagine they'll most likely be standard Autocannons

ReplyDeleteBy the looks of it, it appears the furibundus is next!
ReplyDeleteYup. Not sure what it's role will be though.
DeleteThe furibundus is the "destroyer" dreadnought, the contemptor close assault and the deredeo being heavy support
