Imperial Fists: Legion Falchion Super-heavy Tank Destroyer

Hey all,

After the events of the Shadow War campaign, I thought I would take the time to cover one of my most potent units - the Legion Falchion.

This tank really lived up to its name over the campaign weekend and was to be honest very brutal. It's rules got updated in the latest Legiones Astartes Age of Darkness red book - it's points cost went up (understandably so - it was really cheap before) plus it gained an upgrade that grants it the Shock Pulse special rule that the Sicaran Venator has that forces the Falchion's target to be only able to snap fire in their following turn if the Falchion's volcano cannon scores a penetrating hit (even if it is a super heavy!) - considering that it is a strength D weapon, that's always going to happen unless you roll a 1! The same upgrade also grants the Feedback special rule that in the event that you roll a 1, you have a chance of taking some damage yourself so it is a double-edged sword technically but it's more in the Falchion's favour than not.

But enough about the brutality, I really love this kit - while arguably the ugliest of the Fellblade-chassis super heavies to be fielded by the Legiones Astartes, I think it is beautiful. The Fellblade is a sleek looking tank with its domed turret, the Glaive much the same plus it as a giant volkite cannon which is cool but I really like all the exposed pipework on the top of the Falchion feeding into its volcano cannon... I first saw it at the first Warhammer Fest at the Ricoh Arena, there was a beautifully painted one on the diorama near the Forge World tables and I knew straight away I was going to buy one at some point - I just wasn't sure if I was going to do it for my Imperial Fists or for a future project but I glad I got it for my Fists in the end - it looks great in yellow!

In other news, anybody who follows the Forge World on Facebook may have noticed this earlier today:

The Arachnus heavy lascannon battery for the Deredeo Pattern Dreadnought will soon be available to pre-order. The rules for this are in the updated Legiones Astartes Age of Darkness red book so if you have a copy, you can see how powerful this new upgrade could be - I think I'll be getting a set for my Deredeo!

Let us know what you think about the Falchion - how do you think it stacks up next to its siblings? Do you love the kit as much as I do? How about the Deredeo weapons upgrade - how do you think it stacks up against the other weapon options?

Until next time!

The Horus Heresy Book VI: Retribution Cover

Howdy Guys and Girls - fresh from Forgeworlds Bulletin - the cover for Retribution :)

I only managed to get a quick look inside, but it is absolutely packed with Legion rules, units, rights of war and more. I can’t wait to get my hands on it, and I’m told that a limited number should be available at The Horus Heresy Weekender. Don’t worry if you’re not going to be at the weekender though, I hear that The Horus Heresy Book Six - Retribution is expected to be released very soon after the event.

Are you excited? What do you want to see most? Shattered Legions, Black Shields, Knights, Dark Mechanicum, or other stuff? Write us in the comments below!

Hey all

Today's bulletin is showing off those beautiful Headhunters from the Alpha Legion. Not sure they got the message that they should all look alike. These have some stuffing detail which really excited for Alpharius. He is going to look exceptional.

Next up is the new transfer sheet for Salamanders. Loads of great icons here...exactly what I need for my future tanks! They look great!

And finally the Night Lord etched brass, I am currently finishing off Pharos and these murderous bastards have found a special place in my heart.

What do you think of the above? Weekender is looming, what do you expect to see there?

Forge World bulletin 28/12

So the new bulletin from Forge World has been released, and Raven Guard players must think this their month right now!!

Shown in the article it states that Corax will be available very soon, making availability at the birthday event certain for sure now. But with that statement comes this picture:

Looks to be none other than the start of the Dark Fury Assault squad. Now I remember the rules for these guys amd Im pretty certain that RG players are going to love having these models!!! Again these are tipped for having an imminent release so I would think they focus on the release in the next week or two.

Also peeked at is the elusive Horus Heresy Masterclass book. This has been teased to us for nearly a year now but it seems the first book is making an appearance:

I for sure am very excited for this to come out. It states it will be a very 'hobby new year' (god i love puns!!) so this would also indicate a release very soon.

So there we are guys. I imagine a very happy group of players will be waking up this morning. Let us know what you think of the Dark Fury in the comments below.

Forgeworld Bulletin: The Sons of Prospero are coming!

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

Just take a look at the latest FW Bulletin, I guess a few of you will be pretty happy about it!

There were once twenty Legiones Astartes. Two are lost to history, expunged from the Imperial records, and eighteen remained as The Horus Heresy began. So far Forge World has created unique upgrades of heads, torsos and shoulder pads for sixteen of the Legions, leaving only the Thousand Sons and Space Wolves to go.

This week I caught sight of more upgrades coming soon from the Forge World Studio, and they look fantastic. The warriors of Fenris might have to wait a little longer, but the sons of Magnus the Red are on their way!

What do you think about it? Write us in the comments below!

FW Bulletin 12/10/2015

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

Take a look at today's FW Bulletin: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/blog/blog.jsp?_requestid=3416210

The Doom of Mymeara is going to get an update soon - we already heard about that at the last FW event, and it's cool to see an announcement:

"This week in the Forge World studio I saw signs of the return of an ancient race. The first copies of the long awaited updated edition of Imperial Armour - Doom of Mymeara have appeared in the studio, and that can only mean that it’s getting close to being released!"

Also: more from Dom's Mechanicum Army - pretty stuff :)

Forge World bulletin 14/9, and new bunnies approach...

Today a new bulletin has been released from the depths of the Forge World studios. Another insight as to the goings on with the team.

Previewed to us this week are a new set of t-shirts that are available at events, with these starting from the next event; the 40k open day. The shirts in question are for the Emperors Children and the Raven Guard. Here are some artwork for both designs:

These may not be the only new merchandise on sale so keep your eyes peeled on the event to see if any further new items become available

Also shown is a first glimpse of the look of the Dark Angels, under the official scheme. These look great, exactly as we invisaged them here at the Bunny camp. Here is the picture we have been given:

I hope you can agree that these look great!!

As eluded to in the title, we have a couple of new people that have joined as official members. We hope that these will become valued members to our blog, bring their own individual content and humour! Introductions to these new members will come across in posts by these individuals very soon, with them showing themselves to the world and what they do. There are still ongoing talks with other prospects but for now we can confirm two new bunnies for the canp have arrived.

We hope you are excited as us to welcome them to the Battle Bunnies!

Forge World bulletin 20/4

So today we have been given a new bulletin from the Forge World studios. This week it refers to new stuff coming out and gives us an image of:

Some more Deredeo love it seems and what can be described as a lovely looking plasma cannon of sorts. Not much else is shown in the email other than the video that shows the mass of Titans, and which they are lightly eluding is just the new Tempest trailer, that has been the craze this past week.

What do you think of this new weaponry? I seem to think it looks nice but not owning a Deredeo yet I'm unsure as to how effective it is. Let us know your thoughts below.

Forge World bulletin 23/3

Today a new bulletin has been released showcasing their appearance at Adepticon 2015. A great event I'm sure it was and with the bulletin comes a few pictures of the competition entries for the Crystal Brush competition. I urge you to check these out as they look great including the winner that was a scratch sculpt of a Crimson Fist commander:

Also featured in the bulletin is a peek picture of a new tank/artillery piece for the legions. With a gun as big as this you know you have to be excited:

From the looks of things it is the vindicator destroyer array previewed at the weekender. See below for our view of it from then:

Hope this quenches your thirst for the time being. How excited are you for this new artillery piece to come out? Leave your views in the comments below :)

Forge World Bulletin

Hi all

I was looking to share with you the information on the latest Bulletin from Forge World.

Pictured here is the work in progress of Armillus Dynat of the Alpha legion. Unfortunately I have not got to any description a of this guy in the Black Library books, however I can say that as a model I think he looks really cool.

I love that the releases from Forge World have been pretty varied as of late giving a lot of people models that are specific to their legions.

The Bulletin also states that this model is pretty close to production. So could we see this at the Warhammer World Grand Opening? If this is the case, I know there will be 1 happy bunny.

Please comment below with your opinions and also any other predictions as to what new models we may see at the grand opening in May.

Take care :-)
