Likewise, are we expecting some upgrade sets/special squads for Alpha Legion or just a limited edition mini for them too?
I've been wanting to start an AL force for months but I've been holding out, waiting for some pre-heresy symbol shoulder pads with the chained As but it looks like all we're getting is the Hydras.
I think that Stormbird is a bit small for vehicle that can transport up to 100 Astartes. And it looks like a kitbash from Thunderhawk and Fire Raptor bits.
That would be... Somewhat smaller than Tau Manta. Stupidly large and prohibitively expensive, yes, but it wouldn't raise such questions. Ah well, I intend to wait for Warhawk and Condor Stormbirds mentioned in Conquest.
There are different patterns of Stormbird this is a lesser one... but I was expecting it to be a lot more sleek and elegant in design, but it is growing on me.
I like it, but it wasn't what I was expecting either. I don't personally think it is really possible to go bigger than a Thunderhawk any way, I have seen one on a board once and it was just too much. Saying that though if the plastic one does make itself available I will be getting one for each Legion of mine
Yeah. Not sure if this one will be purchased by me, I might wait for an iteration with a series of Missiles on its back. Who knows though, but pretty sure 1 will be the limit for me.
Those raven bits, look really good
ReplyDeleteAnd that storm bird is just amazing
It also looks huge!
All that new stuff looks amazing
DeleteGreat Googley-Moogley, they've made a freaking ORDINATUS!?!
ReplyDeleteAn ORDINATUS!?!
Dammit, and here I wasn't going to start a Mechanicum army.
Definitely a Centrepiece model. So impressed. It is a lesser sized vehicle and there will be different Loadouts.
DeleteAny sign of some Iron Warriors stuff? Loving everything so far.
ReplyDeleteNot yet sadly, but the ltd ed mini is a Iron Warrior with rules.

Thanks! Here's hoping the Iron Warriors (and the other legions who don't have anything/much) get some love before too long.

ReplyDeleteHave fun building/fielding a model which could fit 100 Astartes models.

DeleteWould massively appreciate any info on the little mechanicus guy who is skulking around the internet. I am hoping for some dark mechanics models!
ReplyDeleteI like the Xiphon-Wing thing. It's missing two reactors and two more wings though.
