The guy who leaked the images (from eBay no less) claims that the model is, in fact, Ahriman. He's also definitely in heresy era regalia, so this could be a model from the next 30k plastic boxed set, though I'm shocked that they'd do it with a well known named character rather than generic characters like with Calth.
While I do admit it looks like some artwork of arhiman, I have a feeling that it will just be a generic sorcerer, of the thousand sons. Because if this is indeed a boxed set, when have we ever gotten an actual unique named character from one of the codexes, bar this new death masque one that is.
*and here we have Ahriman posed on a thunder hawk he shot down with mind bullets, this great addition to our Horus heresy character range can be yours for only 700gbp!
Maybe the mini was designed by FW? Maybe FW are seeing what they can do with plastic (thunderhawk, anyone...)? Maybe FW have realised they just can't keep up with demand? I just hope they keep the primarchs resin
Hi Dave. I fully expect a plastic Warhound and Thunderhawk after hearing that one of the citadel designers will be working on them soon (at Warhammer Fest). MKIII I expect soon too. Would help make the Horus Heresy more accessible to the younger generation too.
I have to say, the AoS character models make me crave Primarchs in plastic. It's beautiful, crisp, detailed and so much lighter and easier to work with. The clam pack models being produced by GW right now are just incredible.
Hi Forest. I have been thinking that they will be doing a plastic mkiii set since they changed the shoulder pad designs (smaller rivets) and started doing part upgrade packs for imperial fist squads. It looks like it may be a sign towards it.

ReplyDeleteCould be just a generic Sorcerer? But armour does match some artwork of Ahriman.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely 30k though... I think it looks very good.
ReplyDeleteI suspect it's Ahriman. Shame, I was hoping for a really nice character series model for him though...
I would wager he'll get a proper FW model at some point like the rest of the first captains
DeleteNot that I don't like this model mind you, great looking

DeleteMaybe they ran out of expensive bits of larger models to pose the Character Series on :P

ReplyDeleteWhat I'm mainly interested in is the PLASTIC MARK III ARMOR! Is this a sign of what might be in the rumored new plastic heresy box?

DeleteKharn looks a lot like those Khornates from GW's AoS line. Like some sort of kit bash ...
