Sisters and Custodes rules

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

Rules for using the Legio Custodes and Sisters of Silence miniatures included with Burning of Prospero in games of Warhammer 40,000 are up on the GW site. Since "Age of Darkness" is an expansion for 40k, we are pretty sure it's cool to use these 'till we get our hands on the new White Dwarf (or a list made by Forgeworld).

You can download them here:

What do you think about them? Also, have you seen what's lurking behind these Custodes?^^

Regards,
Lady Atia

    1. Already on it. Sadly there seems to be some DDOS attacks going on, so my internet is rather slow >.>

  2. Hey bunnies! So couple of question for you: 1) how do I justify adding a small, say 500 point sons of Horus force to my army? 2) if I could pick 1 legion specific unit, which would you recommend? 3) what's the colour scheme that you will be using? If it's already been posted just tell me and I'll look for it. If not, and you want to keep it secret just tell me. Thanks!

    1. I assume you are talking Sons of Horus for all questions so here goes:
1- which legion are you allying them to? Realisticly you can get them into any army, just come up with some cool fluff as to why!
2 - Justaerin are awesome but will set you back a lot of points, perhaps to many! My 5 man squads run around 300 points and a 10 man is over 500! Reavers are cool, would most likely need jump packs if they have no transport! The are not overly survivable but do pack a punch!
3 - my Justaerin paint guide is on the blog, I believe I posted it last December time! Check under Darien Vasco and Justaerin on the full site side bar! As for the green, I will be doing a guide in the coming months for that. The basic idea is to use the forgeworld SoH and Lupercal green (darker one first, zenith with the lighter), ceolia green shade wash (watered down a bit) even all over, then an agrax wash in the rescesses!

Hope that helps! You can drop me an email if you like darien.vasco@gmail.com

    2. Thanks for the awnsers: 1) they will be allied to the Ultramarines so I'm sure I could make up some fluff for it. 2) I think I will go for a 10 man unit of reavers. Sounds like the cheaper option and a bit more simpler to use. 3) thanks for the paint guide. Unfortunately I do not have easy ish access to those plants nor the skills to do what you suggest. As such I shall strive to find my own interpretation of the scheme.

    3. Perhaps they were on assignment to the ultramarines and as discussed when they found out about the heresy. Reavers are good fun and I'm always a bit surprised at how well they do. You could check out the GW painting guide video they did not the legions. It also seems that the new painting guide for Burning of Prospero includes guides for all 18 legions, my guess is they will focus on GW paints!

    4. Again thanks for the great response. The painting guide sounds like something I could event in. Any idea when it is comming out? I like you thought on how to include the sons of Horus. I shall take that and run with it. Thanks again for all the help.

  3. The Sisters swords are a bit crazy, why would anybody take them with Bolters? I'm guessing at some point they will get access to some specialist ammunition.
Mixed weapons and equipment I thing will work best for the Custodes and is fluffy.

  4. Hmmm they painted a contemptor dreadnought in the colors of the custodes in the background of the custodes pic... can't wait to see if FW will make a Custodes specific Contemptor
