Mulieres Mortis: My Escher Soundtrack

Hi all

Xmas approaching and finishing my projects for work has been keeping me incredibly busy for the past 3 weeks, so my apologies that progress has been slow at the moment. I have still been thinking about the hobby and enjoying it when possible, mainly in the form of Audio Books (whilst at my desk) of which Primarchs: Lorgar has been a particular delight, as well as contemplation of my current projects.

One thing has jumped into my head as I have been creating my Necromunda gang's back story, is what sort of soundtrack would the house have. Not sure why it jumped in, but I have been unable to stop thinking about what 12 songs would be the perfect tracks for their hang out. So here we are. My Mulieres Mortis sound track. Hope you enjoy, and feel free to offer alternatives.

1) M.I.A: Steppin' up
2) The Prodigy: Hot Ride
3) M.I.A: Meds and Feds
4) MNDR: Feed me Diamonds
5) SBTRKT: Wilfire
6) M.I.A: Bad girls
7) Knife Party: Internet friends
8) Azealia Banks: 212
9) Basement Jaxx: Cish Cash
10) Katy B: Katy on a Mission
11) Lilly Wood & The Prick and Robin Schulz: Prayer in C:
12) M.I.A: Born Free

Yes I am a massive M.I.A fan. . . .

  1. Lorgar was a real treat to read. Definitely one of the better Primarch novels.

I especially liked that you couldn't really tell Lorgar's story without telling Kor Phaeron's, and the portrayal really clicked with everything else we know about him.

  2. This is a really nice idea, which I've unashamedly stolen! I'm building a Goliath gang so thought the following might do them justice (obviously subject to my own taste in music, I reckon punk would be more suitable but sadly I'm not well acquainted with the genre so metal will have to do). I have way too much music so limiting it to one song per artist:

All That Remains - Before The Damned
Arch Enemy - Yesterday is Dead and Gone
Be'lakor - The Desolation of Ares
    Dark Tranquillity - Monochromatic Stains
    Enslaved - Building With Fire
Five Finger Death Punch - American Capitalist
    Hatebreed - Honor Never Dies
Hellyeah - Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)
Killswitch Engage - This is Absolution
Lamb of God - Still Echoes
Machine Head - Pearls Before the Swine
Parkway Drive - The Sound of Violence
    Rammstein - Mein Teil
    Slipknot - Psychosocial

    1. Nice. I think Metal suits them very well, so well done!

  3. I should do up a soundtrack as well. I suspect mine will lean more toward metal, tho. Maybe dig through that like 16 disc Female Fronted Heavy Metal compilation I have for some particularly appropriate tracks.
