Pre-Heresy Death Guard: Breacher squad

Hi everyone.
It's been a journey but finally they are done. Here is my Beath Guard Breacher siege squad.

I didn't want to go for a full white or full green shield, so as the shield has a large surface area I thought I would exploit it.

I went for 2 Meltaguns and a Combi-Melta. This goes with the durable "for every situation" ethos of the Death Guard. Graviton guns and Las-cutters are all fine and good but I can really imagine a Breacher squad bringing a lot of melta to bare to bring down any obstacle. Graviton and Las weaponry would also be a lot more delicate than a good Melta Gas canister.

Once again, no helmet crest but a Black stripe for my Sergeant (see Betrayal).

Mortarion and his Deathshroud approve.

Against Little Bunny's expanding force. She is doing very well.

Don't hold out much hope lol.

Anyway. That's it for my Death Guard for a while. Need to have a small force amassed for my next Primarch (Curze).

  2. Those look great! I love chipping on the green stripe on the breaching shield. It is nice seeing them fight chaos as well. These guys must be loyalists right?

    1. Think pic is set at a time after Heresy, where Mortarion still hated the Witch and the Daemon but before Terra.
To be honest I just threw a few of Little Bunny's Chaos Cultists we are readying for Book 5 Tempest on the board.
      Thanks :)

  4. Those shields are some of the nicest battle damage I have seen on infantry models. Well done.
