So, today sees the release of Sevatar, 1st Captain of the Night Lords. A popular character amongst fans who sometimes provides a little comic relief - 'It was rats. Big ones!' Is one of my favourite lines. He was fantastic in some of the NL shorts and this sculpt is very fitting as one of the best so far. Also, that's a White Scar on the base! Which battle could this be from? What do you think?
Does Sevatar have a no helmet option?
ReplyDeleteHe does yep, check the pics on the FW site.
DeleteYes he does. Both look fantastic. Personally I think he is one of the best sculpts I have ever seen. Would probably do with Helmet as per Prince of Crows.
DeleteSo are you guys going to re base to the new 32mm standard?
ReplyDeleteLooks like sev and the IF are
They do don't they! I would for Sevatar because of the scenic but not for standard Legion chaps.
DeleteSevatar is my favourite character in the Horus Heresy, and now one of the best looking miniatures I have ever seen. His Chainglaive is more complex than the one which was released with the Night Raptors and looks far more cruel. His helm itself looks brilliant, I am really impressed with how the Sculptor Steve W managed to pull the detail off as it could have gone completely terrible. The knife held in his right hand blade down really adds a Street Ganger feel to his persona.
ReplyDeleteI have never really been a fan of non helmed Legionnaires but I may be tempted to do this 1st Captain without a helm, or maybe just magnetise so I can get the best of both worlds.
I would love to know why there is a White Scar on the base though!
Love the look of Sevatar, one of the best looking models that I have seen. Kudos to you Drake, very jealous!! The detail is fantastic and capture his character perfectly. The White Scar does fascinate me on the base, look forward to seeing the reasons behind that.......
