For the Emperor!

Hello Bunny followers!
I'm proud to say I'm the latest addition to the  team and very excited to say the least. I've been a follower of the blog since the early days and have been lucky enough to be involved with general discussions and topics for some time.
I started my journey into the hobby 26+ years ago with a copy of Space Crusade and well I was hooked. It was swiftly followed by my first copy of white dwarf no 137, which I still have, and that was when I discovered Space Hulk....the next step. After that it was the obvious follow on into table top gaming.
I've always been a marine player, I always will be.
Over the years I've added an Imp Guard Armoured company to my collection, and this began with the release of the original resin FW Banblade. That's when I began my resin addiction.
It's a sizeable force including several other super heavies and its own airforce, made up of a Marauder Destroyer, Thunderbolt fighter , and 3 Avenger Strike fighters.

I also own two Titans one Lucius Warhound and a Reaver, but I will be adding to this collection eventually with a further two Mars pattern Warhounds.....eventually lol

I have several thousand points worth of Space Wolves and the same of Imperial Fists, which brings me to where I fit in to the Bunny Shenanigans.

I will be proudly bringing the 7th Legion to the pages of the Blog. I'm currently bringing Dorn's sons to life with building and painting and will be providing WIPs, How To's, conversion tips, and ideas in how to bring your very own 7th Legion projects to life. So I hope your gentle and welcome me with open arms.
I look forward to sharing all my WIPs and future projects with you all.

Here's my latest project one of two Xiphon Pattern Interceptor:

I hope you like it. More to follow soon.

  4. Thanks for your kind words guys happy to be here.
As for the White Dwarf it's not the oldest one I own but it was the first I bought with my pocket money in a 5 year unbroken stretch.
I own issue 120 which is the issue that has the colour plates and background on the War Griffons Titan legion. And the Deathwing Space Hulk expansion artwork on the front.

    1. Sweet! It is really crazy how far the magazine has come and how much it has changed.
My favourite White Dwarf ever was the one which came with a card bunker to assemble, had a Space Wolf Battle report in with the old assassin model and a poem at the beginning about the Eversor assassin (rip off of Edgar Allen Poe's Raven poem). At least I think it was all in the same episode. . .

    2. If by how far the magazine has come you mean how low it has sunk.. Wish it had remained the same from way back when to be honest. But we can't have everything

    3. Indeed a shame. My first WD was 100. But I have WD 1 from 1976 framed in the "Weemen room" and 1-12 in a binder.. guess they are Ltd Edn antiques now :(

  6. Absolutely Dave!
I'm hoping for a more brooding dynamic pose than that of Gulliman's for example, either something akin to Peturabo's would be good or even a little more regal like Horus's.
Of all the Primarchs I have say Robuté's is the most disappointing pose IMHO. And I really like the way his character is portrayed in KNF.
Hopefully Simon Egan and Will Hayes will have an input into Dorn otherwise I fear he may end up less Praetor of Terror, and more statue of the worthies garden, like his Ultramarine Brother.

    1. I'm glad someone else is feeling the same way, they should have modelled Guilliman like the cover of KNF, if for no other reason than double power fists would make him stand out and the pose is more dynamic.

  8. Welcome Tylar! Nice to see new blood in the Bunnies gang, as an Ultramarine player I am always pleased to see a Dauntless Few among us! I even forget you for the "statue of the worthies garden" thing about my regal and beloved Primarch! :^P

Hope we will see more about your stuff soon!

  9. I love the Xiphon, I did mine in Relictors Chapter colours and a nifty heat effect on the jet nozzles, check it out if you like - http://www.weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/relictors-forgeworld-xiphon-pattern.html

Looking forward to seeing the final result. Cheers
