FW Container crates done in plastic by citadel!!

Another sign that FW and GW are listening. These were mentioned in our wish listing yesterday, and here they are!

3 containers and lots of other bits. Sure some rules will follow too.

Original Forge World ones.

We are getting between us all around 15 packs.

  1. Hmm. Big enough for infantry to hide in. Probably no firing points. Probably has a big badda boom if they suffer a penetrating hit, due to being full of Munitorum supplies...

    1. Pre-order is the week after, this week is just bases and new paints :)

    2. Ok, so assuming this is not a late "April's fools" :D, any guess or hint at the price? If it's reasonable, might have to get a couple of boxes myself...

    1. Agreed, didn't see them, hopefully that's a dumb upgrade you don't need to take. I'll be using them as scenery, not fortifications.

    2. Considering you can't stack them if you put them on, I assume they're thoroughly optional.

  5. Awesome! Almost tempted to try and make an Assault Ram out of them though.

  7. Yay! I am excited about these. The barrels are bringing back memories of my first starter box of 40k when I was too young to really appreciate the hobby. Circa 1999-2000? I was 10. I wonder what happened to my miniatures..

    1. I do hope they haven't gone awol with the FW design. They look good at the moment, I'm just about to add a closeup of the FW one for comparison.

    2. Yeah. Added arches and changed the frontages. Not too divergent, so good enough for me.

    3. They look like they can be cut about a bit too! I'm sure the are salvageable worst case!

  11. These look superb!

I'll be painting one as super-old, a mislabeled container carrying now-lost technology perfect for my Mech forces to want to claim.

One will have to have come from a certain Mining Colony that a Chaplain in black and blue is rather keen to get to before it's opened.

Yeah these will really enrich my games :D

    1. I wouldn't be surprised if GW eventually wrote/published a scenario in which a Deathwatch team deployed normally, while the Genestealer player got to put down a number of shipping containers and let the Deathwatch guys get paranoid about what they may or may not contain.

    1. I like the thought of a Blue Sun crate from firefly lol. Thought that would look cool. Probably going for a dark sea blue though. Generic and boring.

  13. Why is I look at these and think Necromunda?
