Weekly Progress Report 19/02/2017

It's been a quiet week this week with the hobby for us all (apart from a couple of the Bunnies). So let's have a look!

Hector has been a very busy bunny this week. He started and finished building all his World Eaters infantry units and dreadnoughts. He is now starting on painting Angron and hopefully move onto painting some of the infantry during the week.

Aveinus has continued working on his blood bowl team this week, completing another four players. He'll be switching back to some Eldar briefly before completing the other six players

Drake has been working most evenings, but managed to get his first CAD design made in 3D. He hopes to get it printed as soon as possible, so stay tuned.

What have you been up to this week?

  1. This week I built 25 iron warriors, a character, and a Falchion. I washed 10 breachers, built and base coated a custodes dread. built the custodes skimmer. Finished a warlord laser blaster. Sold some old stuff thanks and what not. Swore repeatedly at my print.

And keep telling my self that I do not need a Mars Pattern Warhound.....

    1. You don't need a Mars Pattern Warhound. You need two or three silly!
      I love a hoppy spring clean. . . . Ooooh. A post idea!

    2. See.. if you're working in a Warlord Laser Blaster, that means you have one.

So extrapolated properly that means you need 4 warhounds minimum!
      1 Warlord 2 Reavers and 4 Warhounds!

  2. Did not quite get as much done as I would have liked. I finished my third Quad Launcher as well as a Praetor in Tartaros armour and a Primus Medicae for my Imperial Fists. I hope to finish the Caestus by Tuesday, only needs some finishing touches and weathering. I started preparing some Terminators with Storm Shields for priming. Sadly, a short call to Forge World confirmed, that Tartaros Terminators my not Storm Shields (for reasons unknown), so it's going to be another 10 Cataphracti, bringing my total up to 35. Also, I preordered book 7 and can't wait to get my hands on it :)
Drake, I really love the look of those reactors and can't wait to see them printed and painted

    1. Good progress. The Caestus is beautiful too.

Cheers mate. I hope it comes on swiftly.

    2. Odd that storm shields can't be used by tartaros termies. I hope they give us a reason why eventually or even better change their mind.

    3. I agree, it is a rather odd decision on their part. Only thing I can think of is that Close Combat Terminators with a 3++ and the ability to run combined with the toughness 5 they can get when playing Stone Gauntlet moght be considered a bit overpowered.

    4. The fluff reason is supposed to be the power drain of the shield means the suit hasn't got the energy reserves for the boosts in speed. I just wish Indomitus had something to make it stand out, even just a points break.

  3. Continued with my Squaduary pledged RTB01 Tactical squad and finished some craters scenery. Still lacking the drive to get cracking with my Warlord... need energy and courage to start the painting proper....

  4. I ordered Corax and Leman Russ, does that count as progress? :p

    1. Yep I would say that's a good start I would say. Looking forward to that SW review for inferno Drake. I got 10 termies waiting on my desk for inferno to arrive here in the states. So any light reading will be a good distraction....or make my impatience worse lol.

  5. Got a 10 man veteran squad, 5 man flamer squad and 5 man melta squad painted, alongside a forge lord and a few layers onto my Numeon conversion.

I've still got a heavy flamer and multi-melta squad to finish but not sure how best to fit the resin ammo feeds- any easy suggestions?

  6. I've been working on my Loyalist Death Guard, I felt my Delegatus didn't live up to his back story so I've been building a replacement.

  7. Good progress Bunnies, I definitely want to see how the plasma reactors look once printed. I tried a new scheme for my Custodes, now I know exactly how I will paint them. :D Still wondering if I must convert the special Tribune from the Weekender with a shield. Paragon axe and Praesidium look awesome, but I really love how he is holding his helmet. :^/

    1. Do you have pictures of your Custodes somewhere online? I've just started modifying the GW Sceme I used for my first squad to get it to look a bit more like the Forgeworld one, but I'm still not quite happy with it. How did you paint yours (if it's not a secret)? I'm getting my tribune in the mail tomorrow and really can't wait to start

  8. Been at work over theweekend. My Thousand Sons Command Squad was built and painted in bits and bobs over that time though. Now my Kharybdis has been getting a long-put off paint job, work will continue once I have eaten breakfast and woken up sufficiently :)
