Imperial Knight Armiger and more revealed

Hi all.

A new Knight has been shown off by Warhammer Community.

Smaller than their cousins and crewed by aspiring nobles, low-born commoners with a knack for war, or even the bastard children of Barons and High Kings, Armigers hunt and fight at the flanks of their larger kin. Knight Armigers will open up new tactical possibilities for Imperial Knights players, like a medieval lord hunting with his hounds, benefiting from a wider range of army builds.

Also a new Necromunda character and Codexs

  1. Hee hee... Necrons have infiltrated the underhive? Love the new ‘Warhound’ type Knight. So with the opening of rise of Necrons, I hope we get more than one Cryptek, or that Crypteks regain some of their former glory.

    1. I think Drake is relying to heavily on the Abominable Intelligence known as "autocorrect" 😂

  2. Good to see which Codexes are up next, after Thousand Sons. New knight is interesting, hope it will feature in HH and Traitor Knights

  3. With the upcoming release of the Drukhari codex I'm tempted to dig out my old Dark Eldar stuff and join in with 8th Edition!!

  4. I'm curious to see if the armigers make the jump to 30k. Would make questoris knights a lot more interesting!

    1. Personally I don't see why they wouldn't allow it in 30k. Knight Households as a rule don't have new tech, they have whatever STCs they landed with as a colony, unless they ally with the Mechanicum more closely. So unless they're gonna make Armigers a Mechanicum Knights only deal, the other houses are going to have them.

  5. Hmmm so I've got a Gallant, Warden, Lancer and reeeeaally want an Acastus. Looks like an Armiger would nicely round that out!

    1. I preordered 3 Armigers from my FLGS, and an Acastus just showed up in the mail today. lovely kit, far nicer to build than the Warhound or even Reaver titan.

I do like how the knights and titans now have the same basic 4 roles- Armiger/Warhound as the smaller, faster scout, Questoris and the larger Cerastus as equivalents to the Reaver and Warlord battle titans, and the Acastus as the Emperor- larger, rare, focused on ranged firepower.

Hoping the price is relatively cheap, both in points and cost. Hoping for something like a Riptide as far as money price, and somewhere in the 160-240 point range.

    2. Yeah, I get the feeling that 2-3 Armigers is what GW will be expecting most Knights players to field.
