Upgrades For Forge World Primarch Models Coming?

Hi all!

Quick one tonight as the update report was delayed - truly sorry!!

I was reminiscing back to a conversation I had with the brilliant Simon Egan at the Grand Opening and I remembered a tidbit he gave me; I asked about the potential future release of helmets for the Primarch models and Simon replied that it is on the list of projects but he had no idea when. There would potentially be other bits too like alternate weapons etc.

I personally feel this would be a fantastic move for the company as I really struggled to find a suitable Fireblade for Fulgrim last year. In the end I had to pay £30 odd for a model that largely got thrown away lol.

Solar Auxilia continued

So more progress has been made on the Solar Auxilia Volkite squad. Slowly but surely coming along we have been able to complete the red fatigues and next we will be able to further finish the clothing and the weapons and shall finish the squad in due course.

Forge World Warlord Titan: How will you outfit yours?

With the Beautiful Warlord Titan due to go on sale this month I want to ask the community a few questions based on what has been showcased so far. 

The Head is sold separately from the main Torso. I assume it is to keep the costs down instead of providing both heads. The Torso is apparently £900. 

There are two head options and arm pit shield options so far. 

1) Gated face with extra armour plates instead of shields. 

I do like this option and feel it would be more suitable for certain Legios over others. The extra plates instead of shields make me think it is a more functional design too. That makes me think it is more akin to Legio Metalica, Mortis and the Fire Wasps. 

The head seen from the side below does look very interesting.

2) Knightly (Spot the Bonafied legend in the background too). 

This strikes me as a Legio Gryphonicus, Legio Presageous etc style design, with the Heraldic shields and Fleur de lys style trim. 

It is more aesthetically appealing in my opinion, but mainly for certain Legios. 

Or alternatively you can buy all options and magnetise the hell out of it and swap out the banners and treat it as different Titans in the same house colours. 

The arm pit plates strike me as slots designed for further eventual upgrades too.

Washathon!!!!

Hi all

Since attending the Warhammer Grand Opening, I have been re motivated in making so more progress with my legions. So I went on a washing spree and washed every single unwashed model I have.

This consisted of:

20 breachers

10 mk4 and mk3 dispoiler marines.

2 of each of the upgrade kits for the Impirial Fist squads

Fellbade

Storm Eagle

Pollux

Imperial Fists contemptor including weapons

Various Imperial Fists shoulder pads, heads and torsos.

5 Gal Vorbak

And finally a Mahra Gal Tainted Dreadnaught.

As you can imagine this did take some time but I am

Hoping to do all of my current Imperial Fists in one go so it will all be worth it in the end :-)  

Primarch discovery order and Great Crusade Timeline Updated with information from Tempest

Here is an update to the timeline, we use for the Great Crusade, from information given in Tempest.

M30 797 - Emperor launches Great Crusade

M30 799 - Horus is discovered a couple of years into the Great Crusade and is mentored for 3 decades before the next Primarch is discovered.

M30 829 - Leman Russ is discovered 3 decades after Horus.

Between M30 829 and 834 the following Primarchs are discovered: 

Missing Primarch A (est 830)

Ferrus Manus (est 831)

Fulgrim is discovered. (160 years before Horus Heresy age of his flagship - would make 845 but order suggests est 832).

Vulkan (est 833)

Rogal Dorn (est 833)

M30 834 - Roboute Guilliman takes control of Ultramarines - Tempest 

Between M30 834 and M30 854 the following Primarchs are found: 

Magnus the Red (est 839)

Sanguinius  (est 844)

Lion El'Jonson (est 849)

M30 854 - Perturabo discovered.

Between M30 854 and 857 Mortarion is discovered (est 856)

M30 857 - Lorgar takes control of Word Bearers - Tempest.

M30 884 - Jaghati Khan discovered. 120 years before Horus Heresy.

Between 884 and 934 - Konrad Curze (est 904) discovered.

M30 934 - Angron in charge of World Eaters for 70 years at time of Betrayer so M30 934. Although he may have been discovered before this but not trusted.

M30 952 - Approx date of Corax discovery (Extermination States he was in command for nearly 50 years at compliance of Indra Sul. Which was around 5 years before Heresy. 

M30 963- Monarchia falls and Lorgar goes on Pilgrimage.

M30 964 - Gal Vorbak return from the Eye of Terra and rejoin the great crusade circa 965 as were a year out (40 years before Isstvan). At time of istvaan 3 there was only 47 red WBs inc Argel Tal.

M30 965 - Vlka Fenryka undertake either a Sanction / expunged conflict.

Circa M30 966-967 - Lorgar returns (he was told by Ingathel that over the next 5 decades he would need to recruit another thousand Legionnaires a year, and if one falls to replace with 2 - this means he wasn't in there for a long period of time so he could enact his plan.

Between M30 952 and 981 - Approx date of Primarch B's (est 967) discovery. 

M30 969 - Vlka Fenryka undertake either a Sanction / expunged conflict.

M30 972 - The Farinatus Extermination - Night Lords and Raven Guard.

M30 981 - Alpharius takes command of the XXth Legion.

M30 984 - Destruction of Nostramo by the Night Lords.

M30 994 - Isstvan System brought to compliance.

M31 000 - Triumph at Ullanor. Emperor's Children, White Scars, Imperial Fists, Blood Angels, World Eaters, Luna Wolves, Ultramarines, Death Guard, Thousand Sons, Word Bearers, Alpha Legion. Forces - info required. Which Primarchs were fielded during the Campaign?

M31 000 - Chondax Campaign. White Scars.

M31 001 - Council of Nikea.

M31 002 - Kayvas Belt Expedition. Alpha Legion and Blood Angels.

M31 003 - Contact lost with Isstvan system.

M31 003 - Luna Wolves renamed Sons of Horus.

M31 004 - Horus is injured on Davin.

M31 004 - the Destruction of Olympia. Iron Warriors.

M31 004 - The Vlka Fenryka Attack Prospero. Vlka Fenryka, Thousand Sons.

M31 005 - Blood Angels go missing enroute to Signus.

M31 005 - The Dark Angels are dispatched to the Eastern Fringe.

M31 005 - Isstvan III. Sons of Horus, Death Guard, World Eaters and Emperor's Children.

M31 005 - The Ultramarines begin to Muster on Calth.

M31 005 - The Martian Civil War begins.

M31 006 - All data redacted. Have no idea what this can be.

Weekly Progress report is back!

The storm of life, moving, working and Nappies has relented and Heresy has emerged!!!

Khall has started his dream Legion - The Ultramarines. He has a large force already purchased and is looking at adding further over the next few months. Roboute Guilliman is in hand and washed. Khall is now waiting on Legion specific units mainly.

Recently Darko has made a start on his new project, which turns out is the Emperors Children. He has inherited these from Khall after a legion trade! He has recently acquired some phoenix guard, palatine blades and Rylanor the Unyielding.  He has so far prepared and undercoated said units and will look to progress more on these over the next coming week/s

Little Bunny and Drake (whilst Baby Bunny sleeps) have also been working on Execution Force. The group assigned Assassins to the Gamers who's Legion's best suited that assassin's background. Due to Mortarion and Russ's hatred for Sorcerors, Drake ended up with the Culexus. 

Targel got the Eversor (shooting from siege walls etc). 

Darko the Eversor (due to World Eaters). 

Khall the Callidus (due to Raven Guard).

Saturday Knight - House Vornherr

Hi all, I am here to talk to you about the loyalist house described in the latest Horus Heresy book; Tempest.

I aim to give you the following information; what suits they favoured, colour scheme, Segmentum, Homeworld, Loyalty, Lord and most importantly the Legions they may have quested with. 

This week; House Vornherr.

House Vornherr

Homeworld: Luhnborg-IX

Segmentum: Ultima Segmentum

Colours: 'bloody scarlet and sun-fire yellow'

Lord: Duke Sorvak Bhaevenwulf - Cerastus Knight Acheron 'Surcease of Sorrow'

Discovered by: Rogue Trader Kohnwallis who was part of the 12th Expeditionary Fleets pathfinder units.

Allegiance: They were loyal to Roboute Guilliman and the 500 Worlds. Also ties to Legio Tempestus and Praesagius.

Known to have fought with Magnus, Dorn and Jaghatai Khan.

Originally there were 7 houses in Luhnborg System which fought each other for long centuries after Old Night. Eventually House Vornherr rose up and defeated the other 6 houses and claimed the assets. House Vornherr then defended the system against Xenos until the 12th Expeditionary fleet finally made contact. Rogue Trader Kohnwallis established communication and hostilities were deemed out of the question. Kohnwallis and Duke Khorvun Bhaevenwulf talked and House Vornherr agreed to join the Great Crusade.

They were present and central to many of 12th expeditionary fleets greatest victories and fought many times against Orks.

The House bowed the knee to Roboute Guilliman after a huge campaign on Jardingris. At this point they became defenders of the 500 Worlds.

Materiél strength. 

It is estimated that House Vornherr comprised of around 600 Knights at the Calth muster, this made them the largest knight house operating in the Eastern Fringe. The house was generally kitted out with Questoris class armours, predominantly Errant and Paladin types. Knight Lancers were used as a vanguard phalanx. The duke rode in an Acheron, attended to by a veteran Life Guard formation of Castigators.

Recommended Loadout;

Great Crusade and Horus Heresy ratio: I am going to do 1 of each Knight type.

Solar Auxilia force continued

After some time off hobby for many reasons we have all had a good kick-start back in. With the Warhammer World opening we have all got back down to business and first port of call was the Solar Auxilia army.

We have just started our volkite unit and they are looking well. So far they have been drybrushed with metal and had most of the red fatigues started on. A very good session for us to get us back in the habit. We will soon be cracking on again with our legion projects with a few knights and Mechanicum thrown in as well. See future posts for these updates.
