Book 3: Extermination

Hello Bunnies

This weekend is home to one of the biggest events in Games Workshop's calendar. It has always been popular but with the release of the fabulous Horus Heresy line and Primarch models, feth just got real crazy!

Extermination will be released at this event so I thought it would be good to take a look at some of the teaser images and information released. It houses 4 legions:
Iron Warriors
Alpha Legion
Raven Guard
Imperial Fists

Each legion will come with their own artwork, units, rite of war and special characters as per the last 2 books:

Sigismund is royally badass:

Some lovely artwork:

There are 2 new books. One which is the Legion Army List. I have wanted this for a while :) no word on the price yet though. Here is a table of contents. Nice to see the Falcion in here:

And also what looks like a supplement for the Legion specific upgrades, will Omegon be in another series?:

There will ba a limited edition collection too of 1500 copies.

The third and final part of the Isstvan trilogy. This book details the aftermath of the Isstvan V Dropsite Massacre, and two other major battles fought between the Loyalist and Traitor Legions as the Horus Heresy swept out from the Isstvan system and into the wider Imperium of Mankind: the Battle of Phall and the Battle of Paramar. So there we have it. We are in for a nail biting few days. I hope we will see some lovely new previews. Dont stray to far from the blog on Sunday because we are all going and we will be sharing photos and notes all day.

I hope you are all as excited as me :)

  2. I wonder if the Crusade army list book will form the basis for book 4 onwards, as book 1 served a similar role for books 2 and 3. I will be getting the Collectors edition set so I can keep them all in a lovely sleeve.

  3. Am i reading it right that the 'crusade army list' and 'campaign legions' books are limited in that the versions in the collectors edition have an exclusive cover?
Thus there will be a version of them on general release separately at some point?
Dont get me wrong, id love a copy of this collectors edition, but at only 1500 copies available im not holding my breath. And the thing im most excited about from this announcement is being able to condense and not have to lug 3 massive tomes around to play heresy games :D

    1. They will be available seperately and as a standard release. The Collectors edition of book 3 will have these and also a slot case with room for book 1 and 2. You live in England mate?
