Forge World release 8/5/15

Hi all

A great looking release from FW today.

Invictus guard.
Invictarii armour is finely detailed, artificer-wrought power armour bestowed upon warriors of the Ultramarines Legion in honour of the deeds they have accomplished in service to the Imperium. It is often worn by those who have served in the elite echelon of warriors known as the Invictarus Suzerains before being assigned command.

This upgrade set comprises ten resin Ultramarines Invictarii torsos and ten resin Ultramarines Invictarii heads, including a Sergeant’s helm and one unhelmeted head, featuring Ultramarines Legion iconography.

This is a multi-part resin upgrade kit. It is available to pre-order today for despatch from Monday 18th May

Praetor pattern armour upgrade set.
Across the thousands of Forge Worlds producing battle plate for the Legiones Astartes, variations from the standard template have been introduced in deference to local customs, views on artifice and the requirements of the Legion being supplied.

Praetorian armour is a variant of Mk IV ‘Maximus’ pattern battle plate, produced in the factories of Ultramar for the most recently raised chapters of the Ultramarines.

This upgrade set comprises ten resin Mk IV Praetorian Armour torsos and ten resin Mk IV Praetorian Armour heads, including a Sergeant’s helm and one unhelmeted head, featuring Ultramarines Legion iconography.

This is a multi-part resin upgrade kit. It is available to pre-order today for despatch from Monday 18th May

Beautiful transfers! Love the new styles / detail.
FW have also provided a link to describing what each symbol means. Fantastic.

Great release for the 500 Worlds.

    1. So excited...not sure what to do now though lol I only wanted to do 2x 10 tactical marines. One squad of MK4 and one of MK2. Really need to think about this lol

  2. Torsos are freaking awesome! Not sold on the heads though. I think I'm going to limit myself with a small elite force of Theil's Red Marked

Would be great for 40k honour guard too.

CANNOT wait for the Grand Opening!

  5. Ready to place my order as soon as the book shows up for pre-sale!
I'll probably have to wait a few extra weeks though, going by past experiences.

    1. According to know no fear they were almost in a replace all mk4 armour with Praetor pattern stage. Aim for mainly Mk4 and Praetor pattern in a Ultramarines Heresy list.

    2. I thought mk 2 was still widely used in the XIII?

  7. I have a problem with these sets. I have to say FW need to start producing leg, arm, and back-pack sets.
Or complete squad sets for Legions at a slight discounted price.
Because to create a 10 man tactical squad using these and the ultramarines shoulder pads you need to spend £92.......
    For 10 men......with bolters....

I love FW stuff but that's getting ridiculous don't you think? :(

    1. Completely agree. That is why I think the Plastic armour sets is not so hard to swallow. It is only recently that we have seen sets like these (as you know with your Imperial Fists). Plastics are coming just not yet.
