PRIMARCH PERTURABO

Here we have the next Primarch. Perturabo of the Iron Warriors lovingly sculpted in 3D by Edgar.

Already he looks like an absolute unit. His detail looks exquisite yet practical.

Guess I know what I am painting next week.

Now to compare with some artwork of him.
Loved this piece when I saw it first time and really goes well with the voice actor's speech in Angel Exterminatus.
The model has more sockets going lower down into his brow. Still not 100% sold on this look after seeing this artwork.
Collar and Ferensi trim on the Terminator plate is great.

Gun; left hand. Well this is the first really image of him from the card game. . . Is that a second wrist cannon?

Gun; right hand

Gun; right hand.

Doesn't matter to me really. It looks like old Perturabo shifts it around :)
. . . Or does he? . . . Bottom left corner of the pic has what looks like another ammo feed. Could the Iron Lord sport two wrist mounted cannons?

The Logos plate is a bit more ornamented than the artwork. So far I do like it a lot.

  1. I've been holding out for Russ but this might have to be the first primarch I paint!

  2. He looks fantastic, his design really fits what I expected from the Primarch of the Iron Warriors.
My only problem is the face. The cables are fine but it lacks a feeling of cold biterness I would have loved. But nothing is perfect, right? :^)

I want it so much, too bad I am so far from Nottingham...^^

  4. How would a poor Perturabo-obsessed Brit stuck in the U.S. persuade someone to order this mini for them? I want him as soon as possible and I don't want to pay shipping (it's free if you order at the event, right?). And while I'm here posting - I have to say this is an awesome blog, Bunnies. Keep up the fantastic work.

    1. Cheers Dominic. That does suck, but America is fun. I have tried to convince Tony C. to have a FW openday in Vegas (so it gives us an excuse to go there once a year). The one in Europe is fun too though!

    1. Not really sure. Must be just armour connectors.

Corax next in my opinion. That's who I would put my money on.

  7. Never mind the face, you can always shade it a bit and he will look like his usual sour self. It's a great figure, I'm eager to see how the rest of the body sizes up. Cheers.

  8. Looks like getting the remaining 3 Primarchs done by xmas is doable now, if fw get a 3rd sculptor involved.

Hopefully we get some info on Corax on sunday.

    1. Sad thing is they really keep quiet about what they are working on next all the time. Right now there probably are 2 Primarchs being worked on.
Egan is probably on Corax with Will Hayes' help.
Edgar should be back on another one. My bet is Alpharius.

    2. Yea i agree. Simon seems the logical one to sculpt Dorn too imo, due to all the fine details I'd expect to see in Dorn's armour.

But Simon only completes one primarch ever 5-6 months on average, so I'll be very interested to see how they get around that.

Perturabo is already starting to grow on me. Can't wait to see Forgebreaker.

    3. Lol. Yeah he does. I think he is going to be trying his hand at 3d soon too as he was so impressed with Edgar's WIP Perturabo last time a Bunny spoke to him (he didn't give anything away about who it was though).

I hope Forgebreaker is optional. I can't believe it will be a single equipment Loadouts option.

    4. Not just because I play fists I think that Egan is doing Dorn. The raven guard have had almost nothing and I think they want to get fists done because they don't really do anything else major until the siege of terra.

  9. Sooo, none of you guys is going to comment on the imminent release of the legged Lord of Skulls, one of the few GW figures that seems to approximate the proportions of the human body quite closely? ;-)

    1. Lol. It is a good looking model and rightly fixes the Lord of Skulls travesty :) I may get little Bunny it for her Chaos horde. Be interesting to see if they do anything else with it too.

  10. looks a little bulky to me but I'm sure once we see a full image of him he will look just fine.
