This release makes me sad.. Got excited about the new Centurion and free shipping over £100, so i ordered a few days ago and it has been shipped.. But I want some techies!
He is awesome! I like his helmet option too. Think I might try to convert a Palatine Blades squad to have jetpacks and more dynamic legs so that Eidolon can have some buddies
I emailed FW the other day asking about them selling Palatine Blades with jump packs as they did with the destroyer squads. No reply so far, but fingers crossed. Perhaps if you are after getting them from FW more than one email may increase the chances of that happening. (sorry if this posts twice, seemed to disappear first go)
Or he could buy a squad of assault marines and switch their backpacks around.. Voila! Palatine Blades with Jump packs and half - to a whole - unit of despoilers.. You can never have too many goons. ;)
All nice ideas! I agree that getting jump packs online is a good call. Just legs then.. There does seem to be a paucity of dynamic legs out there! Are there any FW units with sexy running / landing legs you know of?
But maybe they'd be cool enough with the legs they have already.. His pose does not suggest jumping, landing or running. I'm thinking their current legs would suit well.
I must agree with you.. Though I honestly find black/purple to not fit my taste in most cases, it really does suit him well.. But there is one thing! The colors on the Deredeo is all wrong! A fallen Iron Hands Deredeo? No! ;)
I dig that they managed to do the proto Noise Marine thing more subtly than Eidolon. He isn't one of those that mutated into the Kakophoni during the performance of the Maraviglia. It makes sense that his sonic weaponry has a more planned feel to it, worked into the aesthetics of his armor.
Absolutely amazing model. Defo my favourite non-primarch character model.
ReplyDeleteLove it.
They are liking people standing on big robots aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI like those techmarines, and Eidolon looks cool.

You could get some sanguinary guard jump packs off of eBay.
DeleteWould cost a lot less than buying another squad just for the jump packs.

DeleteNot Palatine sexy, sadly.

DeleteIt's a small thing but I love that Eidolon has a bit of black on him, purple and black is one of my favourite colour duo's out there.

I have zero respect for Eidolon and his rabble of filthy traitors, but I must admit, he has a kick ass model
