A very busy week in the Forge World house it seems, and a very mechanical looking week it seems! Mechanicum fans will be very pleased with the new additions this week, with the additions of a new red book for the Mechanicum Taghmata army list, Magos Macrotek Enginseer with Servo-Automata and also a seated Knight-Scion.
All very nice looking releases and welcome additions to Mechanicum army users. Here are a few pics with some added description for each:
The new army list book includes all of the Mechanicum units from books 1-5 and has descriptions for each. It also includes the seven variants of knights so far, titan models (including the Warlord Titan) and interestingly enough the Ordinatus Macro engines. Maybe tempting us into an imminent release......? It also includes an expansion / update for the Age of Darkness rules for 40k gameplay in Heresy times. Available to preorder for shipping from 4th of September
Next up is the Magos Macrotek Enginseer with Servo-Automata. A part of the tech priest Auxilia, valuable assets of the Mechanicum army. These look really good and I'm definitely going to be adding this to my (recently started) Mechanicum army. Rules to be found in book 3 or the new red Mechanicum book. Again this is available for preorder to be shipped from 4th of September.
Finally this week is the release of the knight scion seated. This model is used for any Cerastus knight model and is used for any class of knight pilot. What you get is the pilot, the seat is what you are given with the knight itself. Once again this is available for preorder to be sent from 4th of September.
A very attractive looking set of releases. The Red book is going first on my shopping list for sure!!
What are you looking forward to seeing next? What do you want them to work on? Let us know your thoughts in the comments :)
Darko Thane
Nuts. I was going the warden and the other new knights were going to be added to 30k. I love that gattling cannon and fist! Now, if they would just fix the links and add prices so you can actually pre-order.
ReplyDelete*hoping. When will I learn to check that on my auto correct?
Deleteafaik the red book was written before GW released the new Knight rules - that's why we haven't got the newer Knight variants aswell as the 40k AdMec stuff yet ...
DeleteIt is a shame really. I was shocked GW didn't throw the FW Knight variants into their codex.
DeleteCan't imagine it being retribution but am shocked they would'nt be in the red book. Maybe the options to make them are, if not I wouldn't see any harm in just putting them out for friendlies. The Questoris crew upgrades are all based against the stock Knight points anyway.
at this point we are only missing the missile gun alternative for warlords, RG sniper unit, and kx139
ReplyDeleteAnd dont forget the contemptor twin-linked volkites that have also been blog teased too ;-)
DeleteAnd of course (how could i forget my blood angels) dark and blood angel upgrade sets have been teased too...
DeleteMacro Ordinatus Engine, Mastodon too! Bet the Euopean weekender will be good now!
DeleteI'm just looking for them to release the XX's transfer sheet so I can finish the models I'm working on
ReplyDeleteWhen you get them send a pic of a Banner on a Legionnaire to us. Would love to see it.
DeleteThose Servo-Automata would be good for the murder servitor strategem in zone mortalis I think :P
