Daemons of the Ruinstorm: Epidemius

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

Today I want to show you my Epidemius - I painted him a while ago, but re-based him recently to match my other daemons. Hope you enjoy the gross boy!

Epidemius

Nurgle's Chosen Tallyman, Proctor of Pestilence, Herald of Nurgle

Epidemius is the Cataloguer of all the Plague Lord's diseases. His' task is an unending one, and it generates a great deal of paperwork, so he rides a palanquin to share the burden - and to more easily force a path through Nurgle's hordes. Two dozen Nurglings attend the Tallyman's every need, providing the parchment, operating the death's head abacus, excreting the ink for the quill pens and even defending Epidemius from harm should a foolish enemy venture too close.

This foul Daemon of Nurgle is known to have been summoned to the surface of Calth, by the Word Bearers during the early days of the Horus Heresy ...

This model was great for experimenting with my (at that time) new Vallejo Special Effects Set.
I prefer these colours over their GW equivalents - their rust isn't a pre-mixed drybrush paint, and they have more tones for blood. That said Blood for the Blood God is awesome (and I use it for my Word Bearers), as is Typhus Corrosion. The good thing about painting is that you can choose from a broad range of products and techniques, and you can always lern new stuff! A good example for this would be weathering powders - I want to experiment with them next week!

What paints and techniques do you guys like? Write in the comments below! Thanks for reading!

Regards,
Lady Atia
