New Forgeworld Release - Skaarac the Bloodborn

Howdy Guys and Girls!

Today's pre-order from Forgeworld is Skaarac the Bloodborn, a Great Khorgorath for Age of Sigmar.

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Skaarac-the-Bloodborn

A creature of endless hate and unstoppable savagery, Skaarac the Bloodborn is a beast of venerated legend among the devoted of Khorne. He is said by some to be a fallen Daemon, others claim he is no more than a mindless beast of prodigious power while some claim he is a rogue experiment of the terrible arts of the Zharr, and others yet name him as the oldest and most powerful of the Khorgoraths; a murderous plaything mutilated into being by Khorne’s own hand. Regardless, Skaarac has rampaged across the battlefields of the mortal realms for uncounted ages, and countless lives have been ended by his savagery, and yet it is not enough.

Skaarac the Bloodborn, Great Khorgorath of Khorne is a fantastically detailed model. In combat he slashes apart his enemies with the brutal blades embedded into his arms and tramples their broken bodies beneath his hooves. Those who would flee beyond his reach, he can destroy by vomiting forth a torrent of unhallowed blood as hot as molten iron.

Skaarac the Bloodborn’s warscroll is available to download to use him in games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. This model would also make an exceptionally brutal Bloodthirster or other Daemon of Khorne in games of Warhammer 40,000.

Need to admit I really love that model, and it will find its way into my Daemons of Khorne army - it's also great to see FW support AoS with new models!

What do you think about him? Calm before the Storm? What models would you like to see tomorrow? Write in the comments below!

regards,
Lady Atia

    2. Would make a good daemon prince for 30/40K. Give him dreads and you have angron

    3. Ah no need for that, better wait for the real DP Angryron and use this guy as Skaarac the Bloodborn :) :P

    4. I see no usable rules on the FW site for Skaarac. Currently AoS only so outside my area of interest.

    5. Yeah I think you could use either the rules of Samus or the Spined Chaos Beast .... or you wait 'till I write my own rules for him and use mine :P

    6. The Spined Chaos Beast is a useful entry. That's presently how I field my Mutalith in 40k.

  3. Can't say that I am into the whole Daemon thing, but that is one good model. The paint job really makes it.

    1. Yep - love how they did the red armour (it's their classic metallic undercoat and clear red scheme <3)

    2. I kind of want to experiment with metallic undercoats and clear overcoats for a traitor Knight house I'm cooking up.

Sadly, they're all out of green clear coat, at the moment.

  4. Incredible model but if it is a Trish Carden I'm not really surprised, big fan of her sculpts.

    1. She really is the best sculptor GW has on monster figures, these days.

  5. Awesome model, not surprised he appeared after Samus & Skarbrand as I for 1 would be inclined to use him for either. Oh well wallet in for another hit, tho I was saving for Mastadon

  6. I'd appreciate it if they did something for Slaanesh or Tzeentch, seems they're getting the short end of the stick nowadays. I mean, if you can handle gore and literal rivers of blood, I'm sure a bit of nip and an extra arm or two can't hurt either? .n.

    1. Tbh, I think we may get some Slaanesh stuff for Signus ... atleast it would make sense :)

    2. It wouldn't surprise me if we get four named Daemon Princes of the Ruinstorm, one for each god. Two down, two to go.

    3. I would love that :) - and I bet we will get Ingnethel and the Red Angel in the future!

You can't have enough daemons goodies!
