I love the scheme they used as its the same I used on my 40k wolves (kind off, mine is lighter and less blue). But I *also* love Drakes scheme and the darker FW artworks.
Fugging hel!!! That looks awesome. I am so excited to see it. Pretty sure I will spend the day getting tips from the studio scenery team! Outstanding work.
Fantastic! Very inspirational! Thanks for sharing. Regarding the Wolves color, I'll be going for something darker, more of a steel gray with a hint of blue.
Would you mind asking whether there are any plans for Legion Tartaros Shoukder pads and if Breacher Shields will be sold as a separate kit now Mk III marines are in plastic? Love Breachers, but too expensive to field all in resin.
Well, GW has a nice set of dead marines...granted, they're not 30k themed, but they can work in a pinch.
Also you can try to use the dead marines from the various character bases, and cast them to add to bases as objectives using Instant Mold (I've done this before, its awesome).
I hope we'll find out if the Prosperine Spireguard are getting any love at all in Inferno. I'd like to see some of them defending their homes alongside the Thousand Sons.
They had plans, but I fear they got scrapped for now (we went from an initial planned range to probably solar auxilia). Atleast they will be in the fluff :)
Looks to be expanded polystyrene foam, carved/scored to look like brick construction. That's the old-school GW/FW way of doing things like this, and it looks like they're sticking to it - with plasticard details for the molding around the walls and urns etc.
Me too. I think the reason they held back was for the new mkiii helms (eyes a little bit different) and they didn't want to raise eyebrows. We will see if we can't find out about them tomorrow.
That looks excellent! Is this the new one for the weekend?
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the TS scheme, but prefer a darker grey for wolves...
I'm kind of split ...

What shall I do QQ
You could use my scheme :p
DeleteThey are blue! Therefore your opinion is incorrect lol. They should be dark grey not baby blue!
DeleteI've used stormvermin on mine, which is a brown grey.
DeleteAtia, B&C is down so I can't message you there. I had an idea of using a warlord laser blaster for the ZM starship wall board, what do you think?
That could work. Even more so if we could make it modular so that you *could* use it as fortress wall too :P? Just an idea for multi-use :D
DeleteFugging hel!!!

Looks really great.

ReplyDeleteGiven that it's called the Burning of Prospero, I kind of expected more stuff to be on fire ;)
ReplyDeleteJoking aside, that looks fantastic. I love the narratives they put into their dioramas.
Very true . I wish I had that at home to play games on. Well done, and I wish I could see it up close . But flights to the U.K. are expensive.
DeleteWhen will FW release injured/dead marines!? They would be great for bases and objective markers
ReplyDeleteDave, I will ask tomorrow!

DeleteSure, I want to know about the Breachers myself.

DeleteEven if just a simple Torso and head upgrade set. That would be great.
DeleteI hope some of that scenery is a kit!

DeleteI'm at warhammer world. That new grav tank is £85. There's a banner with a painted version on it. Looks nice.
ReplyDeleteGood to know, did you manage to get weekender tickets in the end?
DeleteI did, at 8.48am. Good job too cos they were sold out the next time I looked.
DeleteShould be awesome :)
And the spears/sythes are £12.
DeleteI was hoping to catch a glimpse of sw upgrade heads
