Craftworld Iybraesil: Windrider Jetbikes WIP

Hello again,

Just a quick post from me tonight giving you a glimpse of the new army I am working on at the moment!

I'm sure at some point soon I will put a post together about the Craftworld and its history in 30K but for now i'm concentrating on getting my first jetbike painted up to nail down the scheme before carrying on with the rest.

So as you can see from the photos this is a work in progress model and it is my first in the scheme so I am confident that future paint jobs will be an improvement on this. I have also been testing out which edge highlight I like best on the model. This explains the incomplete armour highlights and slightly different shades so far.

I am also going for a wraithbone look on the weapons and on various other parts of the model but It will need an edge highlight before it is complete.

I will put a painting guide together once I have finalised the scheme and it will be all Games Workshop paints which makes it easier for me and any of you who would like to give it go :).

This last picture just shows some of the contrasting highlights better from above.

So its early days yet and I'm on holiday soon so hopefully I can show some more progress at the end of January!

Thanks for reading,

Aveinus Kaane.

  4. Ah dirty eldar to fill my gun sights. What a lovely sight that would be if it were full of 2 inch diameter holes and covered in blood...
Who let the world eater in?
Looks pretty good from a painting perspective I will say. Much better than anything I have seen yet.

Since my wife wants me to paint her army in this colour, I will really be looking forward to your guide.

    1. Thanks :) I've now almost finished the jetbike, it just needs black chevrons on the front and transfers. As for the paint guide I'll probably take pictures for it as I paint up the next one!

    2. In all honesty I think that the black chevrons would ruin it. Leave it blue with maybe some vibrant green or white chevrons.
