6 years old, the group is now. So we celebrated it with a Fenrisian themed feast.
Shame the same couldn't be said for my first foray into Mead. Despite choosing Mead's with macho names like "Odin, Baldur and Loki" I managed to get what Spectre referred to as "poor choices."
It tasted very much like Sherry. . . . I was expecting a bitter Ale like drink so was slightly taken aback.
Elk was delicious though. Thoroughly recommend it. Looking forward to it again in the future.

I was going to say on the last post you should ask Spectre about the Mead.
ReplyDeleteI refrained as I thought he would have already given his input!
Very much interested in now trying elk!! I've had reindeer before and that was very good so I'd imagine it's similar!
ReplyDeleteYeah, for some reason, sweet meads seem to be much more popular, but I much prefer the dry ones.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Mead is one of the few alcoholic beverages I've not tried but I do like some elk!
ReplyDeleteBest looking barbecue I've seen in a long time.
Looks awesome, happy birthday! Our club is around seven years old in its current state, but over all the iterations it's at least twenty five! Makes me feel old, but we've never had a wolf cake,
ReplyDeletePerhaps something to remedy in the future....
