So, they've just plain dropped working on fires of cyraxus and gone ahead with a different IA book. Great, my 30k Mechanicum army can stay in its storage box for even longer then.
So have they say why the upgrade kits when away? Specifically the torsos? Because they aren’t just getting rid of MKII torsos, they’re also getting rid of the MKIII and MKIV Legion specific ones as well, which would fit on plastic marines. Anything at all?
As a White Scars player, the most interesting of their battles was against each other over Prospero. I wonder where that fits into that timeline... is it somehow part of the Chondax campaign? In the novels, which probably don't give the whole picture, Chondax was orks, a few murders by the Alpha Legion, Alpha Legion fighting each other on a small scale to block/unblock the White Scars' communications, and a brief naval battle between the two legions with minimal boarding. Not what I think of as black book material. Not that I'll mind.
They're also portrayed as the legion in Mk II, but all the Fast Attack units are modeled with Mk IV riders. In my dreams we get Mk II riders and speeder crews but given recent events they'd probably be legion-specific and I'm not optimistic about it anyway. I've tried using Mk II marine models on Outrider bikes; some of the legs can be forced to work, but arms are a problem.
Thanks for the news. This blog is always a good place to find the news from GW events. However I am surprised and disapointed that it seems no one asked during the seminar: what will be the release date.
They said late this year. Sorry that it wasn’t put into the post, we were on the front line sending the photos to others who were posting while still trying to enjoy the day. I will lobotomise these servitors and we shall induct new, more effective ones :)
I love the return of the dreadnought drop pod. I will have to grab a couple to deploy my leviathans into battle. Magos scoria is looking ace too. That and even more Alpha legion models is a win for me. Shame that Fires was delayed again.
As for blood angels in HH any hints about legion specific units? (I expect we will see some variant of sanguinary guard at the very least as they are present in the background)
So, did they say anything about getting rid of all those upgrade kits? Or what the plan is for HH beyond Malevolence?
ReplyDeleteHello! They are getting rid of the upgrade kits because they were literally not selling (mostly MK II which isn’t plastic).
DeleteThe plan after Malevolence is Dark Angels but no further information was given.

ReplyDeleteIt’s still on the cards and will either be late this year or early next. It is 2/3 of the way done. It was delayed by the edition change.

ReplyDeleteThe mkII upgrades weren’t selling, due to the plastic HH kits being so popular.
DeleteMarjedi is correct
DeleteAny news on the release date for the Malevolence HH Book?
ReplyDeleteEnd of the year hopefully
DeleteAny news about next Imperial Armour book?
ReplyDeleteYes it’s called Talon of the Emperor. It’s about Custodes and Sisters of Silence during the scouring.
DeleteAfter that will be Fires of Cyraxis (sp)
Was there any mention of Fires of Cyraxus at all? Or any new mechanicum units (automata etc.)
ReplyDeleteComing later this year or early next year. Delayed by edition change.
DeleteThis book is going to be crazy! Thanks for coverage!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome :)
DeleteSo the update on Malevolence is the same update as last time?
ReplyDeleteVery little information was given
DeleteThanks for the updates! Great looking stuff just excited to see more!
DeleteLooks like you got some good seats, judging from the angle of the photos!
ReplyDeleteIs there an ETA on Malevolence? I need to start saving!
End of the year.
DeleteThank you for the updates as always!

I'm must... not a fan of that face sculpt on Krole. At least not the maskless one, so if I get her she'll definitely be using the masked head.
ReplyDeleteWhite scars and blood angels at last. Can't wait for these guys. Wonder when molevelence will be released, this year hopefully
ReplyDeleteAny mention of why they'd bothered with that last solar aux tank, seeing as they've been dropped?
ReplyDeleteSolar Auxilia hasn't been dropped, just a couple of the underperforming kits. The majority of the range is still available.
DeleteThanks for the news.
