Aeronautica Imperialis: Lightning Squadron progress

Hi all. 

Been working a bit on my Imperial Lightning test model tonight. Have a look. 

I used Catachan Green on the nose and Wazdakka red on the red bits. Flash Guys yellow on the stripes too. 

The cockpit was done just black with a gloss. The main reason for this is, in my opinion most cockpits look like a glossy black from a distance anyway (see below). 

This is also my source of inspiration too. A Tuskegee P51 Mustang. 

Next I will add some insignia, seal, pin wash and weather.
