Weekly Progress Report

Hi all. It's time for us bunnies to share with you our progress for this week.

Khall Sithis

Khall has nearly finished the Phoenix Guard, only minor details left.

He also revisited Fulgrim and is moving closer to finishing him.

Targel Vypus

I finished of Erebus for my pre heresy word bearers. Check out my post earlier on in the week to see some pictures.

I am very close to finishing my 2nd tactical squad and I have also been doing 2 5 man heavy weapon squads and a 5 man veteran squad in a train. This is proving to be quite slow progress but I will soon finish the lot, giving me approximately 1300 pts :-)

Drake Seta

Drake Seta has started a Krios Battle Tank for the Group's Mechanicum force. It is a nice kit and he is making swift progress on it.

Drake has also finally got the schematics printed off for the curtain wall in the upcoming campaign and has some interesting ideas for a modular wall here is one of the bastion sections with an Iron Warrior for scale.

Little Bunny has finished her Maulerfiend and will be putting a post up in the next few days. It was a bit of a fluff debate over what she would be able to do, that she could use in the 31st Millenium at Calth. It was settled that Defilers and most Daemon engines were around at this time.
So she has started a Defiler.

Drake's Partner (Lady Drake) has decided to have a dip into the hobby too now as there is so much hobby in the Battle Bunny house that it is difficult to get away from it. She has decided to have a bash at some Striking Scorpions and see if the Hobby bug bites. Apart from an overwhelming desire to try to paint everything Purple (which Drake dissuaded her from), she seems to have a firm hand and steady arm.

Darko Thane

Darko has almost finished his new squad of marines, see post from yesterday. He will look to fully complete these and move on to some new things soon. See post for more details

Mega nob

Mega nob has finished his 5 man volkite charger squad and has started work on his 5 man grav gun squad

That concludes this weeks progress report. Please comment below with your thoughts. Also don't forget to like our Facebook page and send in pics of you army and you may even get to see it on our armies on parade post every Wednesday :-)

Take care

  1. Fulgrim is looking good!
    What Gold did you use?
Also you had a white cape originally, why the change to red?

    1. The gold is Vallejo Metallic Old Gold VAL878. Its a really nice gold to work with.

I changed the cloak after revisiting the Black Library book, Fulgrim. During a passage Graham McNeil explains that the Emperor's Children wore red cloaks when they were at war. So I used a watered down black (to keep the coat smooth) and then Khorne Red mixed 50:50 with Lahmian Medium. I will probably pick out some of the raised areas with a lighter red, but I am not sure yet. I kinda like it the way it is. Khorne Red is very good at providing natural shadows on its own.

    1. Foamboard card and lots of love. It does look pretty big but I think they need to be really considering all art work.

    2. If you see a strange rectangle half up the wall; that is going to be the main wall height.

  3. Looking forward to seeing the wall being built, how far away are we from seeing this?

    1. I will be starting it on Thursday I think. It will have 3 2x1ft wall sections with 4 of those bastions in the picture above. 2 will slot straight on the wall and have openings on their left and right faces to fit snugly on wall section. 2 more bastions will just have an opening on one side and will be used to insert a gate piece which I do not have designed as yet. There will also be 2 breached wall sections too.
