"The difference between gods and daemons largely depends upon where one is standing at the time" Lorgar Aurelian.
I am very happy to show you guys/girls my first completed Primarch. Obviously that Primarch is the one and only Lorgar Aurelian.
This model really was a pleasure to paint and I really enjoyed it. I went for the same scheme as my other word bearers with most of the details in a washed gold, to try and have almost a very light brown tint to it.
The piece I spent the most time on is his mace. I tried to make it look like a cracked black rock with larva in the cracks. This is properly what I am most proud of as it has come out exactly how I have pictured it.
Here is a couple of picture with Erebus and my Veteran squad. This is how I am thinking of fielding Lorgar in future battles. Should be a pretty effective unit. But I guess time will tell.
So let me know what you guys think below in the comments :-)
That looks amazing, good job.
ReplyDeleteThe mace also looks awesome you have made lorgar look really bad ass.
Thank you. I am really proud of it. Just wana see him in battle now :-)
DeleteReally dig the gray! Was it the Sundered Tower? Don't remember, but I love it more than the dark red!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I am actually doing a pre heresy colours scheme, which is described as a granite grey
DeleteWhich Chapter are you doing? Or are you going to try to be as Generic as possible so they can represent many Chapters in the Great Crusade? What was Erebus' Chapter?
DeleteYea I am just doing a generic force at the moment, but I hay start doing chapter specific squads later down the line
DeleteHad Breakfast with Lorgar this morning as he is in the Battle Bunny's display cabinet. He looks really good. The effect on the mace is great. Like the hooded, shadowed eyes you went for.
