Now this could all just be artwork (lol JK). But I am absolutely buzzing now if this gets shown off at the Warhammer World Grand Opening. We will be having warlords in the next coming months!!

How excited are you? What do you think?
And how exciting that we may further see (now this has started being put through), some Dark Angel shoulder pads....................... ;)
Darko Thane
Wow. Truly stunning. Looks like a Mars pattern Warlord to me. The right shoulder gun leads me to that conclusion. Beautiful model. I need it. Not sure what Legio for though!
ReplyDeleteLegio Praesagius! They fought and defended on calth against the fire masters if I recall correctly. They previewed them two(?) seminars ago I believe, but when I get the chance to start them, they'll be joining my boys in blue.

yep, it's a Mars Pattern Warlord =)
ReplyDeletei need one for my Legio Fureans °________°
Hmm... very 'imperial knight' aesthetic. I wonder how many kidneys I'll have to sell for one of those!

DeleteCheers for the images.
DeleteSoooo exited about this! It looks amazing. Hopefully it's the rumoured warlord model and not just art. I'm already wondering if I can get one back from Nottingham on the train, in May! Ha.
ReplyDeleteI always thought none of the various epic warlords looked quite right. My favourite was the original plastic one from 1991.
FW seem to have conceptualised it slightly and have hit the ball out of the park imo.
Yeah I agree (can be seen on Honour to the dead artwork). I am now tempted about getting one for Legio Mortis.
DeleteKhall; 50:50 day one (me Iron Warriors you Luna Wolves)?
I did wonder if it might be a crusader/warden, cos of the scrollwork on the armour plates and the motors on the hips. This seems to be more consistent with knights than titans.
DeleteHowever one of the pics has a reaver flanked by 2 bigger titans... so it must be 2 warlords.
Happy days ahead! Can't wait for opening day.
And yes... on the Honour to the Dead artwork. Loved that artwork. ;)
DeleteI love the knight style influence going on there. So up for this!
ReplyDeleteThe good news is it appears 1.5 to 2.0 times taller than the Reaver Titan judging by the main gun showing
ReplyDeletein the Reaver image:

so my Lucius Warlord is in the same ball park:

plus it's a Mars so there's no conflict there......... Whew!
The Reaver picture above actually shows the Warlord from the main image on the left hand side of it too. The Reavers' head goes just above its weapon elbow.
DeleteThe Top of the Reavers' back / weapon base is about level with the Warord's head. I would say it is 6-8" taller than the top of the Reaver's carapace weapon.
Will Hayes has spoken to me in the past saying that Warlord is not much bigger than a Reaver.
My Lucius Warlord based on sound extrapolation stands 26 to 28 inches tall depending on the pose. The Mars Reaver tops out just as the second image shows. about 16 inches less the APOC missile pod.
DeleteA Warlord not much bigger than a Reaver is a distinct abomination!
It's a very good looking Lucius! Love the Lucius Warlord Titan look. Did you build it yourself?
DeleteLuteus Vexant, my scratch built Warlord took me 2 years to build and is built entirely out of styrene with the exception of the metal hardware for the joints. It is fully pose-able right down to the toes as are all my scratch Titans and Thunderhawk. It has a complete interior and I am in the process of installing interior lighting. You can find forums I post on by googling "Blackadder Warlord".
DeleteThank you for the interest....
Super excited as well. Everyone buy one so we can knight battle!
ReplyDeleteForge World have confirmed its a Warlord and we can expect to see the model in the first half of this year (give them a call if you need to confirm).
ReplyDeleteThere goes my wallet again :)
I can sense by bank balance taking a battering
ReplyDeleteJust trying to work out the damage it would cause to my Bank.
DeleteReaver is £438. Multiply that by 1.5 = £657.
Add weapons at £65 per weapon (4) = £917.
Think it will be about that considering the Tau flying army case is £900.
Wow. The Manta is £989. That's inflation for you!
DeleteNice surprise. Can't say I expected that today lol. Shame I need a new bloody car!!!
ReplyDeleteAs the man who requested those DA shoulder pads (for the record I was requesting for all the remaining legions) I for one am looking forward to FW getting this 'Minor' release out of the way so that they can focus in whats important!
ReplyDeleteYou!!!
DeleteHey Zulu; I completely agree with you. I would love to see all troop upgrade components and a painting guide brought out sooner rather than later too. If the plastic sets are going to come to pass then it may be sooner rather than later as FW moves to support (gain from) GWs new rush of hobbyists.
DeleteDowngrade the car.... upgrade the Titans!
ReplyDeleteBig enough to ride on down the street Khall.
DeleteI'd be more excited if I had any hope of ever buying one... can't even get a warhound, much less a reaver or warlord...
ReplyDeleteI hope they will do some alternate heads... nothing wrong with the one shown but it will help mix things up a bit!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there will be. Or at least a lot of people out there home brewing old Legio Titanicus heads.
DeleteWe need a Chaos Version; that's what I'm holding out for.............
