It looks as though the Castellan Knight has just been revealed (Dominus class - updated). It looks like a lovely kit with a devestating set of weapons.
Volcano cannon?
Heavy Plasma cannon?
Multi Melta
It appears to be the same size asa standard Imperial Knight Paladin if you look at the size comparison to the new Armigers.
Looking forward to more on it.
Adeptus Sororitas 2019 too it seems
Drake Seta
I said I would never buy another plastic knight.... I may have to break my rule and get me one of those I love it, its like a mini warlord titan.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how much the Titanicus production has influenced these. If GW were not producing Titanicus some one would be doing rules for the current knight models. With the FW knights as well there is quite a range.
DeleteIt is also promising that this is in production as it seems the Epic versions will be stuffed full of details and the options for weapons should be as varied as the originals
It looks gorgeous! I can't wait to see it next to some questoris and cerastus engines.
ReplyDeleteThat thing has more guns than a baneblade. Maybe it will even fire lasers from its eyes and mortars from its smokestack. Looks awesome though
ReplyDeleteVery excited for this, just hope some HH rules won't take too long so I can use them with my Knight Household
ReplyDeleteLooks like twin Melta Guns rather than Multi-Meltas and is it a Castellan or a Dominus? I’m confused, preview said Castellan, email says Dominus, any Ideas?
ReplyDeleteUpdated to Dominus class. It’s Castellan like :)
DeleteI think it's *both*. Bear with me... The Paladin, Crusader, Errant, Gallant, Styrix, Magaera, Warden etc are classed as "Questoris" class Knights. The Lancer, Castigator, Acheron, Atrapos etc are "Cerastus" class Knights.
DeleteThe new knight is a Castellan, which is a "Dominus" class Knight.
Sounds about right to me ;)
DeleteI believe after looking at the lore, that one of the titans arms is a quake cannon and its side carapace mounts are a variant of autocannons
ReplyDeleteThose look like battlecannons up top, check a Taurox for comparison.
ReplyDeleteThen four meltas, what is possibly a plasma chieorovile on the right arm, a magna/solar pattern lascannon on the other arm & two missiles similar to hunter-killers.
It's also certainly bigger than a Questoris pattern Knight, you just have to look at the scale of it to see that! lol
I'd say it's a bit bigger but nowhere near as tall as a Cerastus chassis Knight and I'm happy about that because it means my warlord Lancer will still stand out.
