Atia's Death Guard - The Angel of Nurgle

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

Just a quick showcase for Mortarion, aswell as a look on what I'm working next.

Mortarion the Reaper

The Death Lord, Angel of Nurgle, Daemonprimarch of the Death Guard

"Pain is an illusion of the senses, fear an illusion of the mind, beyond these only death waits as silent judge o'er all."

Size comparison with his past self (but that's paradox Morty!)

And a group shot with all his friends so far:

What's next on my painting table? Well, some more Death Guard, aswell as Zone Mortalis for Necromunda! Oh, and I also finished some Nurglings :)

Hope you enjoyed our first Daemonprimarch! C&C are always welcome :)

Daemons of the Ruinstorm: Plaguebearers squad 1

Hi all

As you may know, I am in the process of amassing a Daemonic Horde with some other Battle Bunnies for a Webway War Campaign.

Here is my latest acquisition: a squad of Plaguebearers. I say acquisition because they have not been painted by me, but instead purchased from eBay. I figured that with everything on my plate as it is, purchasing well painted squads of Daemons might be the way forward here and there. The good thing about Daemons (especially Nurgle and Tzeentch) you can always go a bit off track with colour schemes :)

I have simply updated the bases and done a few touch ups here and there.

Still a way to go before the Horde is finished, but hopefully not too long!

Atia's Death Guard Progress and upcoming stuff!

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

Just a quick update on my slow work on the Nurgle Death Guard, aswell as some upcoming stuff I'm quite excited about!

I've managed to paint the Sergeant and two more Plague Marines - only one to go for the first 5 man unit!

The new Death Guard kits are amazing - each feels like an unique character! Can't wait to get my hands on Mortarion, Typhus and the multipart kits:

I'm gonna paint Mortarion like my other models - 30k colours, ready for the Siege of Terra! Besides the Legionaries I'm also gonna do some more daemons - including Horticulous Slimux and his cute snail.

In other news, two skirmish level games are gonna be released within the next months - Shadespire and Necromunda. Systems with 4-10 models per side are a painters dream, as I can get some cool unique stuff from different factions without having to go full army on them! Busy times ahead, indeed ....

195 points
- Kor Phaeron
155 points
- Zardu Layak and 2 Bladeslaves
275 points

- Chaplain
145 points
- Terminator Librarian
275 points

Troops:
- 10 Breachers
335 points
- 15 Tactical Marines
260 points
- 5 Tactical Marines with plasma guns
220 points

Elites:
- Contemptor Dreadnought
220 points
- 5 Gal Vorbak Dark Brethren
235 points
- Mhara Ghal Tainted Dreadnought
305 points

Lord of War:
- Lorgar
375 points

I'm actually quite happy with the force for now, which means I can put them on my shelf and start to focuse on my Thousand Sons once I get my hands on Inferno. That said, I still have a few small units to complete:

- 5 Cataphractii Terminators, Kor Phaerons Command Squad
- 5 more Gal Vorbak
- 5 Ashen Circle
- 5 Heavy Support Marines with Missile Launchers

After that, I also have to finish a few more cultists to use as an allied detachment or as Army of the Dark Compliance! And maybe some tanks or fliers in the far future - not sure yet.

You can see single posts and pictures for my finished Word Bearers here:

Hope you enjoyed my little progress report - for the Primordial Truth!

Cults and Daemons

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

Today I want to talk about some chaotic non legion projects - daemons and cults, to be precise!

Warp Cult of the Age of Darkness - The Children of the Crow

My warp cult will be an allied detachment for my Word Bearers - I managed to finish the first unit a few days ago. I plan to paint 10 more grenadiers aswell as their sinister leader - a bloated preacher called "father of crows", and some ogryns in the new year. After that I'll wait for new GW releases - would love to get multi-part cultists and pestigors!

Here is a rough army list idea for my cult:

Imperialis Militia and Cults Army List (Allied Detachment, 500 points)

HQ:
Force Commander, Cyber Familiar, The Muster of World
130 pts

ELITE:
Auxilia Ogryn Brutes (5 Ogryns)
190 pts

TROOPS:

Imperialis Militia Grenadier Squad
9x Grenadiers, Sergeant, Flamer
90 pts

Imperialis Militia Grenadier Squad
9x Grenadiers, Sergeant, Plasma Gun
90

Keep in mind this is supposed to be a small, fluffy allied detachment for Zone Mortalis games (hence I need to take grenadiers instead of other units, as you are only allowed to take 15 guys per squad). If I would have to expand the list I would add some Leeves (Pestigors), Sentinels and Leman Russ tanks. I can also use them alongside my Word Bearers with one of the new Rite of Wars.

Tzaangor Daemonworld Herd

Another little allied army I would like to do - a cult based on the new Tzaangors models. This could represent either the Thousand Sons thrall-armies from Sortiarius (for the Siege of Terra) or the denizen of the Daemonworld of Sicarus - the future "homeworld" of the Word Bearers.

The idea for this army would be similiar to the cult list above - but with lots of tzaangor leeves (20+ tzaangor units!). I'm mostly waiting for upcoming AoS tzeentch stuff before deciding on this though!

Daemons of the Ruinstorm

I managed to finish three daemon models this year - my Brass Scorpion, the Changeling and Zarakynel.

I still have a bunch of daemonic stuff to do in the future. My plan is to have atleast an allied detachment per god - and all units from their codex painted atleast once!

Here a list of daemons I've completed so far:

Daemons of the Ruinstorm (3119 points)

HQ:
Daemonic Heralds
Epidemius, Skulltaker, The Changeling, Herald of Khorne
340 pts

TROOPS:
Bloodletters
10x Bloodletters, Icon, Instrument and Bloodreaper
125 pts

Plaguebearers
10x Plaguebearers, Icon, Instrument and Plagueridden
115 pts

ELITE:
Bloodcrushers
3x Bloodcrushers, Bloodhunter, Icon, Instrument
160 pts

HEAVY SUPPORT:
Skull Cannon
125 pts

LORDS OF WAR
Ang'grath the Unbound
888 pts

Greater Brass Scorpion of Khorne
700 pts

Zarakynel
666 pts

Hope you enjoyed this little overview - what chaotic stuff do you want to see featured? Write us in the comments below!

Horus Heresy Word Bearers: The Architect and the Beast

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

Today I want to share two of my recently finished models for my Word Bearers - Erebus and the Mhara Gal Dreadnought, in case you haven't seen them yet, aswell as my almost finished changeling!

First Chaplain Erebus

Architect of the Heresy

It is unknown when exactly Erebus turned to the worship of the Dark Gods, though it may have happened when the Word Bearers joined with the Luna Wolves to pacify the world of Davin mid-way through the Great Crusade. In any event, when his Primarch Lorgar grew angry with his father the Emperor after he was chastised on the world of Khur for trying to spread worship of the Emperor of Mankind as a divinity across the galaxy, Erebus explained to his master that there were other entities in the universe that were more than willing to accept his worship and the worship of other humans. Several years before the outbreak of the Horus Heresy, Lorgar and Erebus had fully corrupted the Word Bearers to the service of Chaos, even going so far as to erect temples to the Dark Gods on every world they brought into Imperial Compliance. Before long, the Ruinous Powers sought to act through Erebus to set their plan in motion to destroy the Imperium of Man and the greatest champion of Order in the galaxy--the Emperor of Mankind.

Note: Mastercrafted artificer armour, based upon Maximus pattern, freshly repainted with the red of betrayal.

Garavax, the Beast

Mhara Gal Tainted Dreadnought

First encountered during the Battle of Ithraca amidst the catastrophe on Calth, the twisted form of the Mhara Gal Tainted Dreadnought is terrifying in both its aspect and its unearthly power. The first Mhara Gal is believed to have been created from the barely living remains of a Gal Vorbak Dark Brethren and a battle-shattered Contemptor Dreadnought chassis, both recovered from the blood-soaked ground of Isstvan V. Fused together by unholy practices, they were then corrupted by a warp-borne power, giving birth to a new monstrosity – a living engine of war and hatred.

The Word Bearers Mhara Gal Tainted Dreadnought is a fearsome opponent in battle. Wielding a warpfire plasma cannon and tainted power claw, it is formidable both at range and in close combat, its blows slicing through armour and energy fields alike. Its warp-twisted reactor and the daemonic powers gifted to it by dark forces make it all the more deadly, even breaking the bonds of reality around the Mhara Gal to allow it to walk through obstacles as if they were not there at all.

Last but not least, The Changeling - he should be finished tomorrow (only the base to do) - hope you like him so far:

That's enough from me for now - thanks for reading, and stay fluffy :)

Lady Atia: Greater Brass Scorpion finished

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

I finished my Greater Brass Scorpion today and thought I would share her asap =)

Kreth'ilik

Matriarch of the Brass Brood, Greater Brass Scorpion of Khorne, Incarnate Daemon Engine

Daemon Engines are beasts of living metal, towering engines of war driven not by technology, but by the will of a denizen of the Warp. The mightiest of these creatures are mechanical Daemons summoned into beeing, as was first seen during the dark days of the Shadow Crusade.

A towering monster of armour plating and hellish metal flesh, powered by burning souls and bearing an arsenal of murderous weapons, the Brass Scorpions are an example for the Incarnate Daemon Engines.

Her fearsome hellmaw cannons are able to unleash a torrent of red-hot, molten brass summoned from the Daemon Forge of Khorne himself, and between his twisted form can be seen tormented souls given physical form at the moment of the machine's manifestation.

There are some theories among loyalist Magi about how these hellish creatures first came into beeing èn mass - some speculate a number of Brass Scorpions were forged - or brought into beeing - by the mad traitors of the Forge World of Xana - while other say the engines created by the Dark Mechanicum during that time were just hallow imitations of the Bloodgod's Brass Brood. Whatever the truth is - there are confirmed sightnings of these beasts fighting alongside Word Bearers, World Eaters and Night Lords during the later days of the Heresy ...

Hope you enjoy her as much as I did during painting - feedback is always welcome =)

Lady Atia
