Blog Update and Weekly Progress Report

Hello everybody

I hope that you are well and that the God of projects is smiling on your table.

Today I wanted to give you all a Battle Bunny update before the WPR. There have been a lot of discussions behind the scenes regarding the future direction of the blog recently and I thought it would be cool to have a look at it here. 

Unfortunately we have been unable to adhere to our Christmas project this year. Last year we brought you legion baubles and a Thunderhawk made from gingerbread. We had an epic idea for this year and we are all sad we won't be able to complete it...next year though eh? So over the Xmas period I will be asking the Bunnies to do a post about a review of the year and also of what they would like to achieve next year. 

We are all looking at different internal group projects that will cover main conflicts (and some made up) from the Great Crusade AND Heresy.

One thing that we promised over the last year, which never materialised, was Xenos projects. This is mainly down to real life issues and a lack of any one direction. Next year will be very different as the blog is looking at funding a 3D designer to help us hopefully flesh out a range of models that can be used in Great Crusade, while we create fan Codexs that we can use for our campaigns. We will be looking into this more in the next few months. Drake has had a superb idea around a Murder campaign that I think you are all going to love.

Tylar and King Fluff have left the group this week and we would like to thank them for their contribution over the last year. This leaves the Battle Bunnies with 8 authors and we have a potential couple more joining so we will be continuing our spread of hobby goodness for you all and will continue to bring you all the news and gossips from future events. Expect to see more videos and previews over the next 12 months too as we improve our quality and methods of delivery.

I am tremendously excited to see what will come over the next year and the direction I now see us taking. We are fundamentally a Great Crusade and Heresy gaming blog and we are all now driven to deliver on that promise. 

So here is this week's WPR:

Atia used this week to paint the Changeling of Tzeentch. Next on the painting table are some cultists!

Hector just about got his Custodes primed but unfortunately he wasn't able to follow up with basing it with GWs retributor spray due to the weather. He is hoping to get this done before moving onto a non-Horus Heresy related project.

Aveinus has been taking a break from 30k, but has still been spending a lot of time painting some Ironjawz for an upcoming Aos event. Once finished he'll be back to 30k but keep an eye out for his next post where he will be showing you what new 30k project he'll be working on next!

Darien has been working on his Sylvaneth recently. He has completed a treelord and is putting the finishing touches on 20 Dryads and a branchwych.

Drake, Spectre and Castiel have had real life commitments and been unable to complete any projects. I have just moved home and I now have my own space to work through projects unmolested lol.

Weekly Progress Report

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

Another week is over! This one was quite slow for us due to real life issues, let's take a look:

Hector has assembled his Custodes and will hopefully get them primed and based this coming week (weather permitting).

No progress from King Fluff this week as he was placed under the care of the Medicae following an attempt to sacrifice his finger to Khorne. (For your own sake, no picture here!)

Aveinus has had little 30k hobby time this week but he did spend a day off on Monday completing the cataphractii terminators which you can see more in detail in a post earlier on in the week! Aos is currently the main hobby focus with a tournament coming up but his next post will be stealing Darius' idea for a look at What I've achieved over the course of this year and what I'm planning for 2017!

No 30k progress from Kaelo and Darien this week - I heard they engaged in battles deep within a part of the warp called "Mortal Realms", and will be back soon.

Drake has been incredibly busy with work and has spent all waking hours bar 7 on his work this week. He desperately wants to finish Russ now.

I used this week to paint the Architect of the Heresy himself - Erebus, first Chaplain of the Word Bearers, also known as "The Archpig":

I also want to say - I really need to get my hands on some of the upcoming Thousand Sons stuff - Tzaangors will work great as allied Leevy units for the Siege of Terra, and these Scarab Occult Terminators will look ace in red and gold ....

Spectre and Castiel were also busy this week.

Weekly Progress Report

Howdy Guys and Girls :)

Another week is over - let's take a look at what we have been working on the last seven days!

King Fluff has been preparing a cohort of Sylvaneth for war at Warhammer World. He's also been working on scenery to use with both Age of Sigmar and Horus Heresy models. From here until Christmas he'll be working almost exclusively on his Reaver and Warlord Titans.

Tylar has been putting together his Custodes, altering poses and kitbashing some new things. Look out for his next post for the products of his labour!

This week Hector has also started assembling his Custodes detachment who will fight alongside his Imperial Fists. He's planning to finish them off over the coming weeks.

Kaelo is working on 3 projects he can't discuss yet. Stay tuned in December to see more of them.

Darien has also been working on projects he can't discuss yet!

Drake has been working on Leman Russ. He has been really messing around with golds and brasses to get desired colours. Hopefully he will be finished next week.

I have used this week to work on another Word Bearers character - a librarian who can summon some nasty daemon allies:

Last but not least - I'm still searching for a familiar - if someone out there owns an old bloodthirster familiar and is willing to trade - write it in the comments below :)

Battle Bunnies; Weekly Progress Report

Hi all!!

Time for another weekly Progress report! Let's jump straight in!

I have been working on more Thousand Sons from the Burning of Prosper box set! Here is a WIP:

Aveinus has continued to work on his cataphractii terminators he will be showing them at their current stage in his post this week and then it will just be basing, transfers and purity seal to go until they are finished.

Drake Seta has been working on Sisters of Silence from the Burning of Prospero box. He has one finished and the other 4 on the way.

King Fluff and the majority of the other Battle Bunnies have been waging a Shadow War at Warhammer World this weekend and have been prepping their forces accordingly. In particular King Fluff was making his Reaver Titan ready for battle.

Atia got distracted by the arrival of a Forgeworld package this week. The filthy Xenos are not the only ones who can have cults - and this cult will rise and find glory and ascension on the battlefields of Calth ....

Tylar through some misfortune was unable to attend the Shadow Crusade event as a Participant. But he did manage to make a short trip up on the second day to cheer on the rest of the bunnies and watch their progress at the event. He also managed to get some WIP shots from his marathon 9+hr painting session on Friday. 

Look out for a future post with some of the units  above featuring.

Hector successfully transitioned from the warp a day before the campaign weekend. Unfortunately he was unable to do any project work this week.

Weekly Progress Report

Hi guys,

This week has been a busy week at work for Aveinus but he has managed to get a little further with his cataphratii. All of them have had the leadbelcher applied and have been washed with nuln oil. He has also painted the blue eyes and plasma gun.

This week King Fluff has been working on his Titan maniple for Legio Astraman. Look out for a post soon outliing his progress.

Atia finished another Gal Vorbak this week. It seems like this one is possessed by a daemonic follower of one of the many minor deities that exist ....

Several of the Battle Bunnies have been painting the contents of the Burning of Prospero boxed game this week. Please Come back on the 22nd for the reviews, unboxing and painting guides.

I have been working more on my Imperial Fist Breachers magnetised arms but I haven't progressed nearly as much as I should and have a lot more to do before the upcoming campaign weekend up at Warhammer World. I will hopefully be ready by this weekend as I'll be disappearing into the warp for the week leading up to the event.

Life caught up with Tyler this week so he has nothing to show today but he will have something to show later this week instead.

Weekly Progress Report

Welcome everybody, to another weekly progress report!

This week King Fluff has returned to the forges of Graia. With his Warlord Titan 

'Venatoribus Hastam' taking a surge forward. He's hoping to stay with the green gods of war for a little while to finish off the Warlord build and painting on his two Reavers.

Atia made some more progress on the Gal Vorbak - another possessed is finished! This time, it seems like he shares his body with one of Nurgle's children ....

Hector Cephas has been working on his scenery project this week. He's finished constructing his void shield generator and this week he's going to make sure his Imperial Fists are ready for the upcoming Shadow War campaign weekend.

Tyler has received the blessings of the 'Changer of Ways' this week and has travelled into the warp to be joined in holy matrimony. We wish him all the best.

Kaelo, Aveinus and Drake have been working on a surprise project that they hope to share later on this month.

Darien has been unable to get any progress due to other commitments. To be fair, he deserves a break lol. His output since joining the blog has been nothing short of tremendous.

Castiel has also had other commitments  and has had no progress. He is hoping to return to working on his trio of Dark Angel Predators this week.

Kaelo Rylanus; Weekly Progress Report

Hi all!

Can you believe it? Another week come and gone!! Let's take a look at what we have been working on this last week!

This week Drake has been completed his Death Guard Contemptors for that extra bit of death dealing for the Purokar League, a full post will appear in the week. He will be working on the Vlka Fenryka and Death Guard infantry this and next week.

King Fluff hasn't really had much time on the ways of hobby this week - although he did try to get a little done on his Reaver Titan.

Darien hasn't had much time to paint this past week but he his managed to complete the base colours on 11 Justaerin. Fingers crossed these will be finish in the 2 weeks!

Aveinus has been busy this week but has been doing some more purity seal testing for the iron hands and has completed a few stages on his contemptor dreadnought

Tylar has been away in the warp this week with a virus attack being avoided as his gene-enhanced systems went into over drive to battle the contagion. 

He did however mange to put the final touches to his Praetor Tribune. Look out this week for a start to finish of the project.

I have been trimming and undercoating my replacement Mor Deythan weapons. After establishing the depth of sniper rifle poorness, 5 combi weapons add a little bit more kick! I have also undercoated my Raven Guard Whirlwind Scorpius.

Castiel has undercoated 3 predators for his Dark Angels. With the squadron bonus' that the Dark Angels get, these are looking particularly tasty! 

Atia managed to espace the Garden of Nurgle. She continued to work on her Brass Scorpion and also found something useful for the base decoration in her bits box ...

Hello Bunnies

Welcome to this weeks Weekly Progress Report. So, let's get to it!

King Fluff has been doing a little bit towards his Warlord 'Venatoribus Hastam' this week and has finished the Sunfury Plasma Annihilator (except for the magnets).

He's also been quietly bashing out containers on the side to add to his scenery collection for both regular and Zone Mortalis games - these will all be painted en masse as Mechanicum supply containers

Drake has been busy on a Plasma Cannon squad for his Death Guard, and a 10 man Vlka Fenryka squad. Hopefully he will get the Contemptors he continued last week finished this week then the Plasma Cannons after.

Darien has continued working on 11 Justaerin terminators. Since his Friday update he has managed to add brass to 1 more! The plan is to complete them this week.

This week Tylar has been working on his Legion Praetor Tribune. Look out for tomorrow's post!

Aveinus hasn't made much progress this due to playing some friendly games with Kaelo but has now had a chance to get some practice in with his legion.

Atia was hit by one of Nurgle's plagues - but on the bright side, she has ordered something usable as base for her Brass Scorpion!

I have been playing loads of games recently, been loving it! As Aveinus said - we had 3 games over the last 2 days. Here is a picture of Corax getting his ass handed to him by Ferrus! 

Castiel has been assembling his next Dark Angel unit, 3 predators!
