This is the Iron Hands specific chassis and was an absolute dream to paint. The head especially was really fun.

Council of Iron.
Hello again my friends,

A part of my preparations for the comeing campaign I have designed and painted the characters that will be leading the Iron Hands to glory.

First out of the forge is Kybus Caliminster my preator, I decided to switch out his sword with a thunder hammer as I thought it really complimented the general ethos of the legion.
And last but not least is the Terra born Forge Lord Henric Pactum, he needs a few quick finishing touch's including his servo harness but will be battle ready in the next few days.
Stay tuned for more Iron Hands news as there is do much more to come.

Flesh is weak! Iron Hands Sparten
Hello again brothers.
I have been hard at work in the Battle Bunny forge readying the Iron Hands for their first proper outing.
Ferrus' personal spartan is now up and running, flare shields n' all and is ready to deliver it's mighty payload into the heart of the enemy.
I hope you are all as excited for the coming campaign as I am and I look forward to sharing the exploits of this Behemoth with you.

The Gorgon cometh
Finally after months of planning and procrastination he is here, Ferrus Manus!
He was an absolute dream to paint as all the detail on him is so crisp it pretty much highlights it's self.
I started by building his body and hammer shaft to make it easyer to reach all the chest details and the bits in his back
After a careful chaos black primer spay I took to the air brush useing the same technique I use in my normal troops.
After an afternoon of fan boy nerdgasming I had painted all the detail on the Armour useing lead belcher and sycorax bronze
Next up was a Nuln oil wash and highlighting useing iron breaker on the armours symbols
Forge breaker was a nice quick paint and scrubs up really nicely.
Next up was his face, I was really worried about painting this but Mr Egan has done an amazeing job sculpting ferrus so it nearly paints it's self.
The last thing to paint was ferrus's famous silver arms, to get the base colour I used Vallejo liquid silver and washed it with a lahmian thinned drakenhof night shade.
I'm really proud if this model and I would like to thank Simon Egan and the forge world team for designing such an amazeing sculpt.
Here's some pics of the finished model, I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed painting him.

Iron Hands Wave Two
Hello again sports fans,
First of all I would like to say a huge thank you to all you guys that we meet at events and who I talk to in the store, it's mind blowing how many people read our rantings and the level of support we get from you all is phenomenal. So From every one here at battle Bunnys thank you!
Right that's enough feelings for one night, let's talk about hobby!
My birthday was a few weeks ago and I got a masterdons hold full of iron hands stuff.
This weeks project is building and spraying 20 of the new Iron Hands marines, these will then be mixed in with my other marines to make 2 20 man squads. I have also part built 3 contemptors ready to be spayed and painted.
As these models are so well sculpted I will be doing a step by step painting guide for the dreadnaughts and the marines
There is even more to come in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled.

Is It Hot In Here, I'm Meltaing
Following yesterday's post on my finished squads of Iron Hands I thought I'd show you a spot light on each squad so you can see them in a bit more detail.
Today's squad is my 5 man Melta squad, as deadly as they are awsome they were a joy to paint and I managed to finish them all in one afternoon.
Painting these guys was really easy, I just followed the painting guide I posted a few months ago and used warplock bronze as a base coat for the ends of the meltas. Next I lightly dry brushed sycorax bronze over them as a highlight.
I also painted a thin stripe on the sergeant's head with sycorax to mark him out.

Pre-Heresy Iron Hands paint guide close ups
Hi guys, I've had a few messages asking for some close up pics of my Iron Hands and the colour change I mentioned in the previous post. I'm sorry for the quality of these pics my boys arnt very photogenic.
This shows off the green tint on the legs, you can't see on the photo but it curves around the shin guard and into yellow.
I hope this makes everything a bit clearer, I'll put some pics of the assault troops up soon they are a bit bolder with their colour changes.
