Siege wall complete 02/07/2018: Complete

Hi all

With much thanks to my Mum and Step Dad for their help, I managed to finish the Siege wall just before the Titan Owners Club Walk UK 2018. 

So as you can see I managed to finish a very long siege wall. In total it has 9x 2ft complete sections, 3x 2ft collapsed sections and a 2ft collapsed extender and a 2ft game. So in total 28ft of a great defensive structure. 

These were the paints I mixed all together to give me the wall colour. 


I sprayed sporadic Halfords grey primer, Mournfang Brown and Zandri dust over each piece before the airbrush stage, to break the colour up. 

As you can see, some of the base spray comes through. 

I then used T spacers to create the Iron overlaps present on the walls. These were purchased from: https://www.mkmplastics.com/shop/plastic-t-sections/black-t-20mm-x-15mm-x-1-5mm

These were sanded down slightly to promote adhesion with paint. 

Then the walk! 

Overall I am pleased with the shape and size of it. I will be adding some further edge highlighting, chipping, weathering and sprayed insignia before the next event to help it pop. 

So happy to walk away from it now though lol

Siege wall progress 27/06/2018

Hi all. 

I have been on it since 8:45 this morning and just finished at 01:00. 

Here is the WIP gate. Sticky pears from the sticker aisle in Hobby Craft were used for the Rivets. 

My mum is over from the Isle of Wight to stay with me for a week, and she offered to help (which she did for 6 hours of grind). Part of my art and crafty side is from her. She used to paint incredible scenes with Water Colours. 


She plastered the Styrofoam section to prevent melting. 


Length of the Siege Wall (bare in mind the left three units equate to 6ft. 


All the Merlons were hot glue gunned on by 10. 


Gravel, slate chippings and sand were glued on. The Styrofoam was given a thin paint of Plaster to protect it. 


Polyfiller was added around the battlements.

Siege wall progress 26/06/2018

Hi all

So tonight I had some help from 2 Bunnies, Kaelo and Castiel. 

Kaelo set to work on the Great gates which allow entrance into the city. Each door is 30cm by 30cm to allow Titans through. 

Here is the CAD design I whipped up for the doors. 

I myself worked on the last of the collapsed sections (a total of 8ft of collapsed walls). 

Castiel helped me out by trimming the Merlons down to size, so hopefully I can begin gluing them on tomorrow first thing. 

I have 2.5 days off now to wrap up and paint 28ft of Siege wall, prepare a series of roads and concrete sections, finish my Reaver Titan’s banner, optics and exhaust damage, and set up some reference cards.

Siege wall progress 25/06/2018

Hi all. 

So this is where I am up to as it stands :)

Here is a 2ft destroyed section. This one is actually fully joined (can’t be separated). 


From another angle

This one overlaps nicely and can be separated for a 2ft spacer to be installed. 



Here is an example of how the spacer will sit. As you can see I need to finish 2x Spacers and 2x end points to complete the wall. 

Also Kaelo is coming to help me tomorrow on my Siege Wall gate :) so come back tomorrow and have a look at the design I cadded up (as well as hopefully another big update).

Community Question: What colours would you suggest I paint the Siege wall

Hi all. 

As you know I’m doing a Siege Wall. I am getting closer to completion, so now I need to decide on a scheme and what paints to paint it. 

So. If you were in my shoes how would you do it? I have an airbrush and a shop nearby which stocks Vallejo, Citadel paints etc etc. Obviously rubble will be added and it will be sealed with PVA first. 

It isn’t stone. That’s one thing to be aware of. It would be ferrocrete. 

I was thinking a grey sand colour, but am still so undecided. 

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi all

Here we are again. I have 8 days until the TOC Walk and have been hobbying like a Daemon. 

Firstly a scale shot with Canticum Malitae. 

I have four sections progressed now, so hopefully you can see the end result I am after. I will be putting each on a base of  rubble too to accentuate the collapse. 

I got my wire cutter from eBay for £30. It is really decent too in my opinion. 

Styrofoam was from 4D. 

It was a bit of a doddle :) 





Then used a hot glue gun to glue the broken segments to the main frame.

Siege wall progress 18/06/2018

Hi all. 

Working like a crazy man currently to get ready for the TOC UK 2018 Walk. It’s a pretty damn daunting deadline to be absolutely honest. 11 days to go and I’m still here:

So far I have a total of 16ft of Siege Wall started. I want it to go diagonal across my 36x16ft mat and have a few crossing points for Engines and Knights. I think a wall which has already been laid low may be the best solution fo this event, so I am considering 8 complete sections and 4 broken sections and 1 gate section (each section is 2ft long), which should give me a 26ft Siege Wall. 

I’m thinking that by the end of tomorrow night I should have 16ft hopefully to a stage where merlons have started to be added. Then I need 4x ruined sections and a gate shortly after (hopefully on the 22nd when I have a day off).

Next on my plate are some multi poseable roads to break up the monotony of the board and some ferrocrete sections for Cities and terrain to go on.
