Necromunda: Zone Mortalis Painting guide.

Hi all

Today I thought I would post a video that I worked on months ago. I have been sitting on it for a long time due to real life getting me down.

My painting guide for the Warhammer Zone Mortalis Floor Tiles.

Hopefully it helps you out.

There is a list of the paints in the video too.

Necromunda Hive Secondus: Orrus Spyre Hunter and Van Saar Tek Hunter gang

 Hi all

So today we look at the new Tek Hunter Gang and Orrus Spyre Hunter from Necromunda Secondus.

Baroness Alita Helmawr.

Baroness Alita Helmawr

I utilised Greenstuff World's Colourshift paint Pinky Blue for this model. I think it has come out really well.

I then used Greenstuff World's Chrome for claws and Hydraulics (because lets face it, it is a really well maintained /sought after suit).

I went for Volkites for this model, but made sure I just blu tac'd them on.

Its a damn great gang.

We went for a dark grey scheme with blue eyes, orange pipes and light grey stripes.

You can see more of this gang on Matt's Instagram @Battle_Bunnies_Drake_Seta and the Battle Bunnies Tik Tok.

Also, don't forget to see it in action on our YouTube channel where we did a battle report.

Necromunda Hive Secondus: Battle Report and box review!

 Hi all

We are continuing our Necromunda Hive Secondus content with a Battle Report today! So we pitted the new Orrus Spyer hunter Alita Helmawr in her snazzy Colourshift rig, against a Malstrain gang.

We also shared our views on the new box at the end too!

To summarise though.

  • The game is excellent. The rules really complement the setting.
  • The campaign in the book looks like a great thing to run through, so we are hoping to dip back into this over the next few months when we have some spare time.
  • The new Malstrain gang is just a fantastic looking set of minis.
  • The Spyer Hunters are brilliant to play with. Double activations in a turn makes them fantastic (but a Malstrain Genestealer can still eat them).

Hope you enjoy. It is likely there will be more Necromunda Hive Secondus content coming soon, so please like and subscribe.

Necromunda: Goliath Maulers unboxing and painting guide

Hi all

We were sent the new Goliath Mauler models by Games Workshop for review! So we decided to unbox and paint them on film.

Enginephil took the task on as he has been collecting Goliath since Necromunda’s first incarnation. So who better for us to choose.

Look at those dials!

Necromunda: Battle Report - Ironhead Squat Prospectors vs

Hi all

Two of us popped to Warhammer World for a game of Necromunda on the beautiful Mining Facility board. We filmed the battle for a report, so have a look if you fancy it :)

Necromunda: Ash Waste Nomads Wy'tari Stormcaller review

Hi all

We received the new Ash Waste Nomads Wy'tari Stormcaller for review recently from Games Workshop.

We immediately passed it to our contributor Luke (Luke_ da simple_painter on Instagram). He jumped at it with relish and has produced this fantastic piece.

It is a resin model from Forge World. It was really well made and decent to assemble too.

Luke used some simple techniques to get the glowing effect on the staff and the eyes.

This was slightly watered down Vallejo vermillion, followed by pinpricks of Troll Slayer orange for the eyes.

Join us tomorrow for a look at the new Ridgehauler and Ironhead Squat Prospectors.

Also have a look at the new Ridgehauler unboxing here:

Necromunda: Cargo-8 Ridgehauler and trailer unboxing

Hi all

We have been sent the Cargo 8 Ridgehauler and trailer for review by Games Workshop.
Honey the Destroyer loves the kit so much that she immediately claimed that she wanted to paint and assemble it (for her hobby bingo and our Necromunda Campaign).

So she has unboxed it :)

The Ridgehauler is almost finished now, so come back in the next week to see how it looks.

Necromunda: Underhive Market

Hi all

We have been working through the new Necromunda Underhive Market terrain.

It’s has taken us a good week to paint, but the best thing is, as there is so much in the box, you find yourself flitting from piece to piece as you paint whilst you wait for other parts to dry.

The staining on the fabric was a bit of a hard thing to achieve. Best to Google tent stains to see how best to get fabric stains. I firstly made an Agrax Earthshade and water mix to paint directly into the gaps and it actually gave a quite good tent staining effect, but not so much a shading effect. So I went and did Agrax with Lahmian to not get the tidemark effect for the recesses.

Sponge the edges of the fabric with a little bit of Typhus corrosion to get a nice effect.

Mung vases, Recaf and chests of bits

Lots of lovely generators too.

Totally worth it. Might get another too!!

Necromunda Underhive Wars!

Hi all

Very fortunate to have a pre-release copy of Necromunda Underhive Wars.

Going to play through the Storyline missions first :)

Looks like there is a bit of STC maybe we are hunting!?

Ooooh. Shiny.

Controls seem a bit odd when you start, but after a while you  get quite used to them. It is a turn based strategy shooter which feels like you are playing a board game.

You move as far as you can within an orange circle and then use APs to crouch, shoot, reload, repair a jam, search etc.

There is a pretty good overview map showing where the enemy, objectives and friends are.

We did encounter a glitch where we climbed a fighter onto a platform to search a dead body, but were unable to climb down as it only thought we were trying to search the body over and over again.

If you are a fan of Necromunda and 40k it is worth getting. The terrain is a feast for the eyes too.

Necromunda: House Delaque

Here we go.

The 6th gang has now been shown.

The story has changed a bit from the original Trenchcoat sporting chaps.

They do look quite sinister and slightly Genestealer cult.

I say it is a welcome change, and I would be tempted to use some of these guys for Imperial Starship crews too.

Great sculpts as always with the Specialist Games lot. Love the Gunslinger too.

A new compiled Rulebook too. Definitely worth getting :)
